Now You Try: Pre-Assessment-Quiz

◦ This is an example of a pre-assessment you could provide to your students to help
collect data on what your students may or may not know going into the lesson.
◦ It also helps to activate students prior knowledge on the given standard(s) being
taught.
◦ You’ll notice you get instant feedback and can set time limits on the given multiple
choice questions.
◦ Student View: Students can click on the photo while in app to see the text for
rereading purposes. This offers those that may need to reread the opportunity and
those who do not to challenge themselves.
◦ Data Collection: This can be useful to compare to the student’s post-assessment results
to determine reteaching or extending of the lesson.

Reminder for yourself: Make sure to begin the quiz otherwise teachers can not
participate.
Additionally, make sure to let teachers know this as well for when they use it within
their own classroom.

can at their given academic level.
◦ The girl’s name is Jen.
◦ Her name is Jen
◦ Jen/jen

◦ Data Collection: These open ended responses can be used to inform small group instruction
and individual student growth.

Again, make sure to highlight the student view versus the teacher view and how it
aides in student data collection to inform instruction while still offering
differentiation.
