III. PRELIMINARIES
Good morning, Class! Good morning, Ma’am!

1. A. Greetings How are you today? We are good, Ma’am!

I’m happy that you are all good, Class!

Before we start, let's have a prayer. De Make a sign of the cross. In the
Vera, please lead the prayer. name of the Father, the Sun, the
Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Lord and Father of all,

thank you for today. Thank you
for your ways in which you
2. B. Prayer provide for us all. Guide us by
your eternal light, as we discover
more about the world around us.
We ask all this in the name of
Jesus, Amen.

In the name of the Father, the

Sun, the Holy Spirit. Amen.
3. C. Checking of Attendance Once again, Good Morning.

Before you take your seats, please pick up

the pieces of papers on the

floor, and arrange your chairs properly.

Okay done? You may now take your seats

(All participated)
Class monitor. Is there an absent today?
Alright, no one is absent. Very good. None Ma’am.
Before we go any further, what are the
rules we have during discussion?
1. Raise your hand if you wish to
answer
2. Avoid using smartphones
unless needed in the discussion
4. D. Reading of House Rules or an activity
3. Be participative
4. Be respectful to your
classmate and to your teacher

Okay, that’s great.

5. E. Checking of Assignment Did we have an assignment last meeting? None Ma'am.
Warm-Up Questions

What are the sources of electricity? Ma’am sources of energy are

fossil fuels (coal, natural gas,
and petroleum), nuclear energy,
and renewable energy sources.

A source of electricity which is formed Ma’am oil, coal, and natural gas
6. F. Motivation from natural matter such oil, and natural are fossil fuels. Natural gas is a
gas? fossil fuel.

A source of electricity that comes from the Ma’am wind turbine turns wind
force of a energy into electricity
moving air?

Very good, you got the correct answers.

IV. LESSON PROPER

Activity: Pair & Think

Instruction: This is 3 minutes activity, find

1. A. Activity your partner and discuss how electricity
distributed to every consumer?

(Teacher randomly call pair of students to

hear their ideas) (Students participated)

Now, we know already where did the

electricity came from and how electricity
distributed to every consumer.

Today, we’re going to talk about electric

2. B. Analysis circuit.

What is electric circuit?

Ma’am it’s a circular path or a
Very good! Let’s dig dipper about electric route.
circuit.
3. C. Abstraction ELECTRIC CIRCUIT
A complete path where electricity flows
from the source
to the load.

THE FOUR ESSENTIAL PARTS OF

ELECTRIC CIRCUIT

A. Source – provide the electrical pressure

in the
circuit.
Example: Battery & AC outlet
B. Conducting path – brings the electricity
towards
load.
Example: Metal conductor
C. Controlling device/ switch – controls the
flow of
electricity, depending upon the discretion of
the
operator.
D. Load – converts electricity to other form
of energy.
Example: Electric motor, light bulb.
Television,
refrigerator, etc.

TYPES OF ELECTRIC CIRCUIT

There are two types of electric circuit,
called series and parallel.

The components in a circuit are joined by

wires.

- if there are no branches then it's a series

circuit

- if there are branches it's a parallel circuit

A. Series circuits
In a television series, you get several
episodes, one after the other. A series
circuit is similar. You get several
components one after the other.

If you put more lamps into a series circuit,

the lamps will be dimmer than before.

In a series circuit, if a lamp breaks or a

component is disconnected, the circuit is
broken and all the components stop
working.

Series circuits are useful if you want a

warning that one of the components in the
circuit has failed. They also use less wiring
than parallel circuits.

B. Parallel circuits
In parallel circuits different components are
connected on different branches of the wire.
If you follow the circuit diagram from one
side of the cell to the other, you can only
pass through all the different components if
you follow all the branches.

In a parallel circuit, if a lamp breaks or a

component is disconnected from one
parallel wire, the components on different
branches keep working. And, unlike a series
circuit, the lamps stay bright if you add
more lamps in parallel.
Parallel circuits are useful if you want
everything to work, even if one component
has failed. This is why our homes are wired
up with parallel circuits.
Provided with materials. Let the students
assemble the four (4)
essential parts of electric circuit.
Instructions and safety rules must be
discussed before the activity starts.

Are you ready to perform class? Yes ma’am.

The performance will be judge using the

following criteria.

D. Application

V. CLOSURE

Very good! I can say that you really
understand our lesson today.
VI. ASSESSMENT
A. Evaluation IDENTIFICATION:
Direction: Identify the following items
being asked in the sentence. Write your
answer on the space provided.
____1. It controls the flow of electrons.
____2. It provides pressure in the circuit.
____3. It allows individual to regulate
electricity.
____4. It converts electricity into other
forms of
energy.
____5. It is a complete path where
electricity
flows.

ENUMERATION:
Direction: Enumerate the following items
being asked.
1-4 Essential parts of electrical circuit.
5- 8 Examples of load in electric circuit.
8-10 Types of electric circuit.
In a ¼ sheet of pad paper, explain what will
happen to the electric
circuit if the electricity will return to the
source without passing the
load. 10 pts.
B. Assignment Yes ma’am.
Are we all clear class?

Any questions from the class? None so far ma’am.

Okay, Good bye Class! Good bye Ma’am JC! Thank you
for teaching us.
VI – REMARKS
1. Instructional decision
2. Time management
VII - REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned
80% in the evaluation.
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation.
C. Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who
have caught with the
lessons.
D. No. of learners who
continue to require
remediation.
E.
F. Which of my teaching
strategies worked
G. well? Why did this work?
H. What difficulties did I
encounter which my
principal or supervisor can
help me solve?
What innovation or
localized materials did I
use/discover which I wish
to share with other
teachers?
