Good morning my dear Students!

4.Classroom Management
Before sitting down, please check the alignment of your
chair if it is properly align. Put your bag on the left side of (Students will follow the instruction.)
your chair and keep all unnecessary things. Please sit
properly and all eyes are here.

5. Attendance No one is absent, Ma'am.

Is there any absent today?

6. Review
So last meeting we tackled about Measurement.

Let’s have some review about Measurement before we Yes ma’am

start our new lesson.
Yes ma’am
Can you tell me what is measurement, Roi
Can you give me example of how you measure things, Jen. Size of shorts ma’am.

Prepared by: MRS. ALMA V. DOMINGO,LPT,MAED

Very good. What else Jon? Length of a stick ma’am

What else, Enrico? distance of a bicycle and a car.

Very Good.
Measurement is the process of
assigning numbers to events based
on an established set of rules. The
purposes of measurement can be
categorized as measurement being
in the service of quality, monitoring,
safety, making something fit (design,
assembly), and problem solving
I think you already know what is
adverb is. So, now we will proceed
to our next lesson.
Are you ready?
What else, Enrico?

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Now class, let’s start our lesson in our first activity.

Activity 1: “Sing with me !”

Prepared by: MRS. ALMA V. DOMINGO,LPT,MAED

Yes, Ma’am.

Did you enjoy our song activity, class?

Yes, its seems like you enjoyed the song and I am glad. The GCF song Ma’am.
What is the title of our song?

Yes, very good!

C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson Okay class, before we start our new lesson, I’ll give you two
pairs of numbers, ex 24 and 36 or 15 and 40. Each of the
learners must list all common factors for the given numbers.

Yes ma’am.!
(The teacher will call one pair of her pupils to answer the
given example)
(The pupils will answer the given example)

Thank you for your cooperation Jane and Ara.

Now, I have a question, what is the term of the (GCF)?

Stephen?
Greatest Common Factor

Prepared by: MRS. ALMA V. DOMINGO,LPT,MAED

Very Good! Let’s all give 3 claps for Stephen

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1 Now, I give a problem everyone will listen carefully! Get
ready to listen first and later on I will ask questions.

.Problem: Dennis has 30 badminton shuttlecocks and 24

rackets. He wants to sell common sized packages
containingboth shuttlecocks and racquets. What is the
greatest number of packages he can sell with no left over
shuttle cocks or rackets?

(The teacher will give 2 questions and the pupils willhave the
choices.)

Question no.1 What is Asked?

What is the greatest number of packages he can

Correct! sell with no leftover shuttlecocks or rackets?

Question no.2 What is the given facts?

Correct! -Dennis has 30 badminton shuttlecocks and 24

Prepared by: MRS. ALMA V. DOMINGO,LPT,MAED

rackets-
Anyone, what strategy can we use to solve this problem?

I think ma’am, he wants to sell common sized

packages containing both shuttlecocks and
rackets.
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2 Our topic for today is all about
“ The Greatest Common Factor”

What is the greatest common factor?

Anyone have an idea?

The greatest common factor is the largest factor that the

given numbers have in common.

Example: The GCF of 8 and 24.

Find the greatest common factor (GCF) of 8 and 24.

The factors of 8 are 1, 2, 4, and 8.

Prepared by: MRS. ALMA V. DOMINGO,LPT,MAED

The factors of 24 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24.

The largest factor that is in both these lists is 8.

Alternatively, find the prime factorization of 8 and

24.8=2×4=2×2×2=23

24=2×12=2×2×6=2×2×2×3=23×3-

Yes ma’am.

What is the greatest number of packages he can sell with

no leftover shuttlecocks or rackets?

-Dennis has 30 badminton shuttlecocks and 24 rackets-

I think ma’am, he wants to sell common sized packages

containing both shuttlecocks and rackets.

The factors common to both 8 and 24 are 23=8

Did you understand what is the GCF?

Prepared by: MRS. ALMA V. DOMINGO,LPT,MAED

and how do you find the GCF also?

Yes, ma’am.-
Ok before we proceed to our activity get your white board, I
will give you an example and you’ll answer it and we will
check did you understand?

GCF of 12 and 18 Yes, ma’am.

Factors of 12: 1,2,3,4,6,12

Factors of 18: 1,2,3,6,9,18
GCF= 6
Very Good Everyone!

Give 3 claps to all of you.

F. Developing mastery (leads to formative assessment 3)

G. Finding practical applications of concepts and skills in daily DIRECTIONS: Find the greatest common factor of the two
living numbers shown.
1. 12, 26

2. 30, 40

3. 35, 28

4. 21, 15

5. 33, 15

H. Making generalizations and abstractions about the lesson Closure Activity

Directions: find all factors of both numbers then find the

ones that are common to both, then choose the greatest.
1.9 and 12 9: 1, 3, 9
12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
2.6 and 18 1,3 GCF 3
6: 1, 2, 3,
3.24 and 108 618: 1, 2, 3, 6,
9, 18
1,2,3,6 GCF 6
2 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 24,
2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 108
2 × 2 × 3 = GCF 12

I. Evaluating Learning A. Read each question carefully. Choose the

VI. REFLECTION Base on my own observation, the class was having fun during my teaching time. I used different techniques to
deliver the lesson accurately, clearer and good. They we’re all enjoying my activity and assessment. I knew that
they learned a lot in this lesson, because this lesson was one of the basic lesson in math. I hope that they’ll apply
the lesson they learned in real life situations that may they encounter. That’s all, thankyou.
