ROUTINARY ACTIVITIES
1. Prayer
Okay class before we start today let us thank God first
and ask for His guidance through a prayer. Kindly stand up
and let us pray. Lord God, thank you for
this day and for every
blessing that you've
gave. We ask for your
forgiveness in every sin
that we made. Bless
those people who are in
needs. Guide and
protect us in every path
that we take. Gives us
knowledge and wisdom
for our new lesson.
Thank you for these
things. Your kingdom
come and your will be
done in our lives. We
praise and thank you
Lord! In Jesus name.
Amen!
2. Greetings
Good morning class!
Kindly arrange your chairs and pick-up the pieces of papers
under your chairs.
3. Checking of Attendance
Class secretary, do we have an absentee today? There is no absent for
today ma'am.
4. Classroom Rules/Reminders/Policies
So in our class today, please be reminded of our classroom
rules and policies as much as possible.
1. Be Kind, polite and courteous to others.
2. Turn up to class on time.
3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
4. Be respectful to your classmates, teachers and
property.
5. Listen to your teacher.
6. Work hard and always do your best.
7. Raise your hand if you would like to speak or when
you need to leave the classroom for a reason.
8. Get involved in discussion.
9. Clean as you go (CLAY GO)
A. Reviewing previous ELICIT: Show me your Color
lesson or
presenting the new "Class, let's recall our previous lesson using a game called
lesson 'Show me your Color'. You will see four letters displayed in front
with different colors. I'll project a question on the screen for you
to silently read and answer. When I give the signal, “Ready, set,
Raise your flag” You will raise the color of the flag that
corresponds to the choices.

Based on our activity what will be our discussion for today? I think our topic for today
is all about Mutations

Guide Questions:
2. In your own word how are you going to explain Chromosomal mutation
chromosomal mutation based on what you have is an unpredictable
seen? change that occurs in
the chromosomes.
STATION 1: TRANSLOCATION
1. Using the modelling clay the students will make a
model of two (2) chromosomes. The one
chromosome should have a different color and size
from the other.
2. The students will break one part of each of the
chromosomes, exchange the parts and attach them
to each of the other chromosomes. See illustration
below.
STATION 2: DELETION
1. Using the clay provided in the second station, the
students will make a model of a chromatid (one of the
duplicated copies of a chromosome).
2. They will remove a portion of it (close to either end of
the chromosome or within the long arm or short arm).
STATION 3: INVERSION
1. The students will make a colored chromatid as shown
below.
2. After that, students will break a portion (with 2 colors)
of it. Refer to the illustration below.

The gain or loss of chromosome can lead to a variety of

genetic disorders and write it on your notebook.
