1. Self-Biography (Bullets are fine!)

- 17 year old
- Youngest out of 4 (youngest out of 3 from dad’s side, youngest out of 2 from mom’s
side)
- Senior
- Love dancing (been dancing since I was 4)
- Mexican/hispanic
- Born in Grand Rapids Michigan
- I don’t really like socializing with others just with people I know and i’ve talked to before
- Im really nice (it's something that i’ve alway been taught to do even though someone is
rude towards me)
- Have a big family
- I’m quiet (I never been really the type to talk much at all just to the ones i’ve known for
years)
- I have a bit of social Anxiety
- A person with a strong attitude

2. Future Goals (Bullets are fine!)

- Hope to travel to other place to explore (Especially go to california, not just because I
have family to explore new places)
- Find happiness and peace for myself (it's something that I need to do in for my mental
health)
- Get a stable job that works for me (A job where I can be financially stable, and not
really worrying about money or being on dept)
- Learn how to play the Bajo Quinto/Guitar
- Get a car
- Get a house
- Be more open towards others
- Learn how to save money

- Graduate this year from high school

- Attend a school for Nail technician
- Go get a job to get the things that are required
- Talk to people that work on nails (to know what I need and what’s required)
- Put my career first before anything else

Nail Technician

A community/work issue that can be solved with a particular skill set from your career
area (How will I give back?) (ex. Create a campaign to give back to a local cause)

How can nail technicians get back to our community?

The way I would get back to the community would be by taking care of peoples nails, along
with making someone feel good or just pretty by having their nails done.

How can Nail techs build confidence in their clients?

My potential hands-on will be: MUST BE VERY DETAILED! (ex. Showcase the entire
campaign.)
*This will be where you will showcase what you created that addresses a community/work
issue.

For my hands on I would like to bring a hand minican, and have people try to do designs or
just have them try and apply things on the nails.

And maybe try to have a mini contest to see who does the best design.

1. What personal interest do you have in this topic? Why have you chosen this topic for your
Senior Project/Showcase? I’ve chosen this topic because it's something that really has caught
my attention. Along with bringing me satisfaction when others feel confident.

2. What research questions will you seek to answer? What kinds of sources might you look
for?

3. Who is a person/company (specifically, or in general) with experience or expertise in this

field you might interview? What understanding do you hope to gain from this
person/company? One of my friends who has been doing nails for a long time now. The reason
why she chose this career. And the satisfaction she gets from doing nails.

4. What situations, events, or places could you observe or experience to gain insight into
your topic? I could get the experience I need at many different places about my topic. But I prefer
to see it with my nail tech, and have her explain her experience.

5. What challenges might you encounter with your research or project? What assistance or
tools will you need to overcome them? Maybe gathering the items I need.
