Abstraction:
Adjectives have three
degrees that compare one
thing to another. The three
degrees of adjectives are
positive, comparative and
superlative.
1 The Positive Degree. This
offers no comparison. It just
tells us about the
description of a quality.
Examples: slow,
beautiful, happy
2. The Comparative
Degree. This compares two
things to show which has
the lesser or greater degree
of the quality.
Examples: slower,
more beautiful,
happier
