The school based feeding (SBFP) is one intervention to address undernutrion among school children,and
Lingig 2 district and with its 22 schools is one of the many recipients of the said program by Department
of Education under OK sa DepEd program.And as an active implementors of the said program the Lingig
2 District together with the different districts of Surigao del Sur Division simultaneously started the said
program last Nov.2,2022(1st week of the Feeding program) and up until last Dec. 5,2022 (6 th week),then
resumed last Jan.3,2023 and ended last Jan 9,2023(8 th week).All the necessary documents have already
been prepared and ready for liquidation/s specially the papers needed for refunds on travel expenses in
bringing the feeding commodities from drop-off point to the different recipient- schools.The travel
expenses during those feeding time are paid by the feeding coordinators out from their pocket which in
someway adding to their financial burden as some school are located on hinterlands and transportation
are expensive and they have to hire habal-habal thru PAKYAW SYSTEM,there are school that their
transportation needs to be transferred by pumpboat hence double handling expenses.

The school feeding coordinators expected that before the end of December 2022 downloading of
Operational Expenses of the said Feeding Pogram but we were informed by our then ADAS officer Leo P.
Evangelio that he received some information from the Division Accounting Office that the entire Lingig
Districts are to be downloaded on Jan.2023.It was up until April that Downloading of operational
expenses where given only on selected schools of lingig 2 District.Some Feeding coordinators are happy
that finaly they can be reimbursed after a long wait,their happiness became short live for another
problem arise,as per information given again by our AO Leo P. Evangelio :”only the current year are
subject for reimbursement”,thus it becomes a dilemma among the feeding coordinators.

It is on this circumstances,that we are imploring to reconsider our plea about the reimbursement of the
travelling expenses during the said feeding, being a feeding coordinator is an additional workload for us,
and paying from our personal money is more than enough show of commitment towards our learners.
Our papers as we have stated earlier was already ready last december 2022 .The said 6 weeks comes
along way to sustain the needs of our respective family.Lastly, may this letter finds its way to your heart
