With all respect, good morning rector, dean, lecturers,
senior, and my friends. Today is an exciting and
phenomenal day and I am going to give you a speech. Now, graduates, I don’t know if you know me, but I am Alvin Rusli, who has been part of being a student at this best college, Diponegoro University. My mind still wandered to the first time we came to this college, as new students, where we had good times, and today I want to give a big congratulations to everyone including myself for being here today. The world we live in is plagued with dangerous: Global Warming, facial acne, COVID-19, and despite all the odds, we still managed to graduate, so let’s give us a thunder of claps and round of applause. Until now, thousands days later, the spirit is still there. The difference is, we are now feel content of what we have achieved. We succeed being part of our beloved University. There were many days full of stories. We studied the lessons, also the lecturers with their own characters. We tried to understand the learning system in this University. One thing that I always hold on to during my journey in this University is that I should be a curious soul to new things. In positive matter, of course. College is the place to process and becoming new person, ready to mingle to the real life. College is the place to lead ourself. We are the one who is in charge of our responsibility as university student. Our success as university student is not determined by our GPA. It is not measured by how many trophies and certificate that we got. Also not defined by our workplace later. The most important thing is the process during our learning journey. The process with all the stories in it is the real-life path that we will keep in our heart forever. Starting from tomorrow we have new status in our shoulder. We will spread our wings, leaving this college. We will enter the real life. What we are now is different with the moment when we came here the first time. This journey will be our norm. No word can express how proud and gratitude I am for being part of this University. Thank you everyone that I know for being part of my long journey during my study. Bill Gates once said in his speech, be a hungry soul. Hungry means we become a person that keeps on looking for new experiences. Let’s be a person that gives benefit to the society, be a person that our university will be proud of. Let me say my sincere apologize if I did something wrong to you. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the very very best. This is not the end. I hope our path will cross someday in great endeavor. Thank you.
