ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
ON THE OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL DISASTER RESILINCE MONTH(NDRM)

I. INTRODUCTION

The NDRRMC, through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), again leads the month-long celebration
of NDRM starting from July 1 to 29, 2022 with the theme: 'Sambayanang Pilipino, nagkakaisa tungo
sa katatagan at maunlad na kinabukasan.' which seeks to advocate unity towards resilience and
sustainable development," the agency said.

The OCD  emphasized the importance of a united effort in the attainment of making communities
ready and safe. It added that cooperation among the public will do a great deal in helping the
government achieve its goal of creating safer communities.

The Agripina Elementary ,Santa Cruz South District of the Division of Davao Del Sur joins the nation
in the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM)2022.

II. KNOWLEDGE

Pursuant to the Division Memorandum no. 547 s,2022 known as the Observance of
the Disaster Resilience Month(NDRM) 2022,the Agripina Elementary School
participated the suggested activities.

On July 26,we conducted the Emergency Preparedness Training and Orientation which
was participated with the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Agripina Elementary
School. The training activities was composed of first aid skills, CPR, and mobilization
which very essential in responding any emergency and unexpected disaster.

The participants were actively participated and enjoyed in  the lifelong learning
activity. The activity empowered the teachers in terms of preparedness especially for the
SDRRM team which enabled them to do their part in times of emergency.

On July 27,2022. We conducted our breathtaking Tree Planting activity At Mt. Dinor
Sitio Sangay Barangay Sinoron. The Activity Was participated with 10  abled and
resilient teachers, 10 strong and energetic youth of Brgy Zone IV and 8 brave and ative
personnel from Bravo Company of Philippine Army.

We successfully planted at least 50 seedlings composed of Lawaan, Mahogany and Narra.

Each participants planted the seedling carefully by putting sticks around the seedling to
secure the plant against the stray animals. Hopefully we will visit the plant next month to
ensure the plant growth.
III. OBSERVATION

The participation of the teachers in the observance of National Disaster

Resilience Month was not 100 percent due to the conflict of activities in
preparation to the Brigada Eskwela. Maybe we can set another schedule
of activity related to the disaster resilience.

In the other hand we made a great accomplishment especially on our

tree planting activity. We have a very nice and a memorable breath
taking experienced as we walked bound to Mt. Dinor. Crossing a river,
hiking a grassy slippery sloped trail was a very challenging and a
breathtaking hike for the purpose of tree planting and for adventure as
well.

IV.RECOMMENDATION

It is best to conduct tree planting activity within the Mt. Apo protected zone in
order to replenish the exploited forest. Planted seedlings must nurtured in
order to ensure its good growth. Every company must be involved in this
activity in order to meet the target of the DENR as well as the DRRM to
plant and grow at least 10,000 trees every year. The activities conducted
if instilled in the heart and mind of every individual will surely mitigate
any disaster.
