SULIRANIN AT KALIGIRAN NITO

Nararapat na pagtanggap"Lahat tayo ay nilikha ng Diyos na pantay-pantay".

Isa lamang ito sa madalas mamutawi sa bibig ng sangkatauhan, mga katagang ni

minsan man ay hindi pinagsawaan. Tila ito ang sumasalamin sa kung papaano umiikot

ang mundo noon at kung papaanong nabubuhay ng malaya ang isang babae at lalaki

na walang ibang iniisip kundi ang pag-asang sa bawat araw, panibagong ngiti ang

sasalubong sa kanila. Ang dating walang humpay na tawanan at maaliwalas na

pamumuhay ay mistulang napalitan ng poot, pang-aalipusta, at pagkamuhi, ito ay

marahil sa mga taong hindi naiwasang batikusin ang kakayahan ng isang indibidwal

na makilahok sa lipunan. Ang bawat lalaki at babae ay itinuturing na malaking biyaya

sa mundo ngunit salungat dito ang pagtrato ng karamihan sa mga taong ibang kasarian

ang ninanais.

Ang hindi makatarungang pagtanggap sa mga tulad nila ay labis na

ikinalulungkot ng LGBT Community at maging ng iilang indibidwal na hindi

nagdalawang isip na magparamdam ng pagmamahal para sa kanila. Ang labis na

pang-aapi ay sadyang hindi maiiwasan ngunit dapat nating ipasok sa ating kokote na

hindi kailanman sinabi ng Diyos na sila ay di kabahagi ng kangyang mga nilikha,

tanging mga sariling paniniwala at persepsyon lamang ang nagtutulak sa tao na

isawalang bahala ang kanilang halaga sa mundong ating ginagalawan. Kagaya ng

pagtrato natin sa ating pamilya, kaklase, at kaibigan, isang magandang bagay din ang

pagpapakita ng pag-unawa at pagmamalasakit sa mga gaya nila na hindi sinasadyang

mahulog sa kasalungat na kasariang kanilang kinalakihan. Ang mga tulad nila ay

dapat ding binibigyan ng respeto at hindi lamang binabalewa na para bang isang
patapon na bagay. Marami sa kanila ang lubhang nakatutulong sa ating lipunan at ang

mga magagandang gawain na kanilang naipamalas sa loob ng mahabang panahon ay

tunay na magiging karangalan sa ating bansa.

Nakakalungkot isipin na maraming sumisigaw na mas maayos at maganda na

raw sa henerasyon ngayon dahil mayroon ng pagkakapantay-pantay ang mga tao

ngunit hindi ito ang nangyayari dahil ang mga bakla, biseksuwal, lesbiyana at

transgender ay naaabuso pa rin. Dahil nga sa meron pa ring pagkokondena at hindi

pagtanggap sa kanila, Maraming kaso ng mga bading, tomboy, biseksuwal at

transgender ang nananatiling nakatago. Hindi lang sa hanay ng mga ordinaryong tao

kundi maging sa mundo ng politika, showbiz, iwa enforcement at maging sa

simbahan.

Marahil marami sa inyo ang hindi sang-ayon sa aming posisyon ngunit kung

inyong titingnan ang mga karapatan ng taong tulad nila ay hindi nararapat na

isangtabi, hindi maipagkakaila na ang iilan sa kanila ay nagkakamali ngunit ito ay

hindi sapat na dahilan upang sila ay kamuhian. Kagaya ng nabanggit kanina, tayong

lahat ay nilikhang pantay-pantay kung kaya't dapat nating alisin sa ating isipan ang

pangamba na sila ay makasisira sa lipunan bagkus, itatak natin sa ating puso't isipan

ang magagandang bagay na ginawa at maaari pa nilang gawin ngayon at sa susunod

pang henerasyon.

PAGLALAHAD NG SULIRANIN ( Statement of the Problem )

Ang pananaliksik na ito ay naglalahad ng mga impormasyon ng mga kasapi

ng LGBT at naglalayong ipakita at matugunan ang mga susunod na katanungan

Ang pananaliksik na ito ay naglalayong masagutan ang mga sumusunod:


1. Ano-ano ang demograpikong propayl ng mga respondent ayon sa sumusunod:

1.2 Kasarian

2. Ano-ano ang pinaglalaban ng bawat miyembro bilang kabilang sa LGBTQ

Comuunity

3. Ano ba ang mga dapat gawin upang maging pantay ang pagtingin ng mga tao sa

LGBTQ

4. Ano ang epekto sa mga kabilang sa LGBTQ ang mga diskriminasyon na

kinakaharap nito

5. Paano mababago ang mga maling pagtrato at hindi makatarungan na paghuhusga sa

LGBTQ

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study would be beneficial to the following;

Students. For them to understand that online games has a certain impact on their

studies.

Parents. For them to be aware of the impact of online gaming to the studies of

their child and it will help them to speak for their children and motivate them in their

studies in order to achieve higher grades.

Teachers. For them to realized that one of the reason why student get low grades is

because of online games.


Researchers. It will give us awareness that online games may affect student's

interest in studying.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This study is mainly concerned and limited only on the impact of online

games to the modular learning studies of the student. This will be conducted to the

selected Grade 12 senior high school students of JCAMNHS who plays online games.
CHAPTER 2

Review of Related Literature

According to the study, Impact on the Behavior of Students due to Online

technology Gaming and Its Effect on their Academic Performance by Aviso, et al

(2021), online games, as part of developed technology, are becoming more popular

especially these days, which became one of the habits of the students on their daily

living. Online games have given many challenges from student's behaviors striking

their academic behavior to constantly change positively or negatively their

personality, as it brings various types of behavior that affects players in different ways

affecting their academic performance.

According to an article in 2017, Impact Of Online Games On College

Students: Pros And Cons, student are also active players in online games. There is

nothing surprising in the fact that they may spend the whole day or night playing

online. However, such passion for online games may result for them both positively

and negatively. The positive impact of online games to the student are motivation,

games motivate students to complete their task quicker; enables activity of the brain,

some online games stimulate brain activity and allow gaining very important for life

skills without putting much effort, they are: hand and eye coordination , improve

motor skills, memory, math and reading skills, quick thinking and decision making,

and concentration; improving problem-solving skills; experimenting with aspects of

individual identity; bringing up perseverance, accuracy, and logic; and development

of teamwork and cooperation skill. On the other hand, lack of time for more important

activities like studying or outdoor games, addiction, aggressive behavior, isolation

from society, detrimental influence on health are the negative impact of online games
to the student. According to an article, 5 Advantages and Disadvantages of Online

Gaming | Drawbacks & Benefits of Online Gaming by Roomi (2021), online gaming

helps to improve analytical skills. And online games are also known to promote

relaxation. Obviously, games are one of the popular choices for entertainment. People

with anxiety and depression can play online games to relieve stress. Not only

children, even adults play online games for relaxation.

In the study, Negative Effects of Online Games on Academic Performance by

Garcia, Jarabe & Paragas (2018), found out that majority of their respondents played

online games. Online games players had an average academic performance while non-

players had a high academic performance. Their primary motivation in playing was

for entertainment. There was a moderate negative effect of playing online games on

their academic performance in assignments, quizzes, class recitation, paper works and

examinations. There was a significant correlation between the respondents’ GPA ,

their daily and weekly hours spent in playing, their motivation in playing online

games and the level of negative effects on their academic performance. The result of

the study, Impact of Computer Games on Students GPA by Wakil, Omer & Omer

(2017), help the students to play with electronic games carefully, because if they

playing for few hour not return negative affection and sometimes helped them to

opining their mind and study, but if playing for more than three hours most time

return negative affection for their GPA. The study, The effects of video game play on

academic performance,” Modern Psychological Studies by Wright (2011), found out

that participants who indicated that they did play video games had significantly lower

GPAs than participants who indicated that they did not play video games. The study,

social behavior and academic performance are negatively affected.

In the result of the study, Online Gaming: Impact on the Academic

Performance and Social Behavior of the Students in Polytechnic University of the

Philippines Laboratory High School by Dumrique & Castillo (2018), the academic

performance of the respondents is not affected even if they play online games. Their

grades are still good enough even if they spent time for playing. To sum up with the

result, the respondents have a good academic performance despite their involvement

in playing online games.

According to the study, A Study on Impact of Online Gaming and Its

Addiction among Youth with Special Reference to Kerala”.International Journal of

Management, IT & Engineering by Aswathy, V. & Devika, E. (2019), online game is a

video game that is played with the help of internet or any other computer Network

available. Some people consider online gaming as a mode of entertainment.. Online

Gaming is also used as a tool to escape from stress in life .As everything has an

opposite side online gaming also has.

ASSUMPTION

This study assumed that online games has an advantage to the studies of the

student such as, online games help them to relieve stress which help them to focus

more on their studies. Likewise, we assumed that online games has a disadvantage to

the studies of the student such as, students who plays online games are more likely to

postpone or delay their school works or modules.

DEFINITION OF TERMS:
Impact – a good or bad influence of online games to the studies of the student.

Modular learning – new learning system in the Philippines

Online games – a games that is played online.


CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Today, the Internet offers a variety of online games for everyone. There are

harmless cartoon-like games for young generation as well as aggressive and violent

examples. Whether it is a small kid or an adult man, every person will find anything

to his taste. Online games are incredibly popular among students who seek new

emotions in their virtual reality. They take a big amount of their time as it is a perfect

way to get rid of stresses or exhausting assignments. However, despite the big number

of benefits brought about by online games, it is important to schedule your time of

playing or negative consequences will outweigh all the benefits greatly ( Impact Of

Online Games On College Students: Pros And Cons , 2017).

It may be astonishing for somebody to hear but online games have a positive

impact on students like online games helps student to relieve stress which help them

to focus on their studies, they can be more knowledgeable in using computer system

and cellphone and their hand-eye coordination improved. Of course, many people do

not desire to admit that playing online games may bring about some positive effect as

negative consequences seem to them more apparent and serious like they prioritized

online gaming rather than doing their school works, they have difficulties in

concentrating in their studies and they lost interest in studying because of online

games addiction.

CHAPTER 3

Research Design

The researcher utilized the descriptive method to determine the impact of

online game to the modular learning studies of the selected Grade 12 senior high

school student of JCAMNHS. Descriptive method will be use in gathering

information about the impact of online games.

Respondents of the Study

This study was conducted at Juan C. Angara Memorial National High School.

The respondents of the study are the selected grade 12 senior high school students of

JCAMNHS who plays online games.

Research Instrument/ Validity / Reliability

The researcher use the survey questionnaire method for accurate gathering of

data. This questionnaire used was the same with the questionnaire used by the

previous researcher and we, researchers modified the questionnaires. For the validity

of our questionnaire, the advisory committee checked our questionnaire. We select 10

students from other year level to answer the sample survey questionnaire to test it

reliability.

The questionnaire was formulated by the researcher through the help of the

advisory committee. The instrument had elicited data on the impact of online games

to the modular learning studies of selected Grade 12 senior high school students.
The questionnaire use in this study was composed of three parts, part one is

the profile of the respondents, the second part is the students frequently used online

games and the last part is the impact of online games to the modular learning studies

of the selected grade 12 senior high school students of JCAMNHS.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researcher float the survey questionnaire through online after seeing the

permission of the school principal, the respondents will be given a time to answer the

entire question.

Data Analysis

The data gathered was tabulated , organize, and analyze using frequency

distribution transformed in percentage that was used to describe the profile of the

respondents in terms of age and sex.

While the impact of online games to the modular learning studies of the Senior

high school students were interpreted using the weighted mean and frequency

distribution which is verbally interpreted based on the following scales.
