A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Kindergarten

(Week 30: Day 1)

Date: January 29, 2019


Time allotment: 50 minutes

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the Kindergarten-Red pupils will be able to:
a. Identify the letter form and sound of Zz.
b. Practice pronouncing words with letter Zz.
c. Recognize objects with letter Zz with its name.
d. Write the big and small letter Zz.
II. Subject Matter:
a. Topic: “Introduce letter Zz.”
b. Reference:Kindergarten Teacher’s Guide p. 438-443, DepEd Kindergarten Teachers in the Philippines
FB account, google
c. Materials: powerpoint, printed activities, projector, video clips

B. Lesson Proper (Meeting Time 1)


(SE) Pagpapaunlad sa 1. Motivation
Kakayahang Sosyo-  The teacher will asks, “Do you know bees?”
Emosyonal  “What do bees sound?”
 The teacher will introduce a game called pahabaan.
(LL) Language,  The pupils will have to prolong the bee sound.
Literacy, and 2. Presentation
Communication - The teacher will ask, “What do bees sound again?”
- “What letter sound do you think it is?”
(M) Mathematics
3. Discussion
- The teacher will show what is the big letter Z and small letter z.
- She will present on how to write it and let her pupils practice it on their
paper and in the blackboard.
- Then, she will introduce another activity where the students will catch
bees in the garden.
 Each bee have a hidden word that starts with letter Zz.
 The teacher will let them practice pronouncing the words and
then explain each word afterwards.
4. Application
- The pupils will encircle the pictures that start with the letter Zz.
- The pupils will do another activity where they have to listen and
identify if the word uttered has sound of Zz.

- Give words that start with letter Zz sound.
