അന ാഭിലാഷിതാശൂന ം ാന ക മാദ നാവൃതം
ആനുകൂേല ന കൃഷ്ണാനുശീലനം ഭ ിരു മാ
'കാമ കർ ളിലൂേടേയാ ത ാന ിലൂേടേയാ ഭൗതികമായ
േന മു ാ ാനു ആ ഗഹം കൂടാെത അനുകൂലഭാേവന കൃഷ്ണെന
ദിവ േ പമേ ാെട േസവി ണം. അതാണ് ഉ മഭ ി.'

anyābhilāṣitā-śūnyaṁ jñāna-karmādy-anāvṛtam
ānukūlyena kṛṣṇānuśīlanaṁ bhaktir uttamā
When first-class devotional service develops, one must be devoid of
all material desires, knowledge obtained by monistic philosophy,
and fruitive action. The devotee must constantly serve Kṛṣṇa
favorably, as Kṛṣṇa desires. (BRS 1.1.11)

സർേവാപാധി-വിനിർമു ം തത്-പരേത ന നിർമലം
ഹൃഷിേകണ ഹൃഷിേകശ േസവനം ഭ ിർ ഉച േത
എ ാ ഇ ിയ ളുെടയും നിയ വായ പരമപുരുഷനായ ഭഗവാെ
േസവന ിൽ ന ുെട എ ാ ഇ ിയ െളയും ഏർെ ടു ുക
എ താണ് ഭ ി അഥവാ ഭ ിയുതേസവനം. ആ ാവ് പരമാ ാവിെന
േസവി ുേ ാൾ, ര ് പാർശ ഫല ളു ്. ഒരുവൻ എ ാ ഭൗതിക
പദവികളിൽ നി ും േമാചിതനാകുകയും േകവലം ഭഗവാെ
േസവന ിൽ ഏർെ ടു തിലൂെട, ഒരാളുെട ഇ ിയ ൾ

sarvopādhi-vinirmuktaṁ tat-paratvena nirmalam

hṛṣīkeṇa hṛṣīkeśa- sevanaṁ bhaktir ucyate
Bhakti, or devotional service, means engaging all our senses in the
service of the Lord, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the
master of all the senses. When the spirit soul renders service unto
the Supreme, there are two side effects. One is freed from all
material designations, and, simply by being employed in the service
of the Lord, one's senses are purified.

അഥഃ ശീകൃഷ്ണനാമാദി ന ഭേവദ് ഗാഹ മി ിൈയഃ
േസേവാ ുേഖ ഹി ജിഹ ാദൗ സ യേമവ സ്ഫുരത ദഃ
'ഭൗതികമാലിന ം പൂ ഇ ിയ ളാൽ ശീകൃഷ്ണെ നാമം, രൂപം,
ഗുണം, ലീല എ ിവകളുെട സ ഭാവം ആർ ും ഗഹി ാനാവി .
ഭഗവേ വനംെകാ ് പരിപൂരിതനാകുേ ാൾ മാ തേമ ഒരാൾ ്
കൃഷ്ണെ അതീ ിയലീലകേളയും നാമം, രൂപം, ഗുണം ഇത ാ
ദികേളയും അറിയാൻ കഴിയു.'

ataḥ śrī-kṛṣṇa-nāmādi na bhaved grāhyaṁ indriyaiḥ

sevonmukhe hi jihvādau svayam eva sphuraty adaḥ
Because Kṛṣṇa's form, qualities, pastimes, etc. are all on the
absolute platform, material senses cannot therefore appreciate them.
When a conditioned soul is awakened to Kṛṣṇa consciousness and
renders service by using his tongue to chant the Lord's Holy name
and taste the remnants of the Lord's food, the tongue is purified and
one gradually comes to understand who Kṛṣṇa really is.

#BRS 1.2.255
അനാസ സ വിഷയാൻ യഥാർഹമുപയു തഃ
നിർബ ഃ കൃഷ്ണസം േ യു ം ൈവരാഗ മുച േത
“യാെതാ ിലും ആസ ിയി ാേതയും അേതസമയം കൃഷ്ണനുമായി
ബ മു ഏതിേനയും സ ീകരി ുെകാ ും ഉ മ ിതി ൈകവരി
ഒരാൾ മമതാബ െള അതി കമി ിരി ു ു."

anāsaktasya viṣayān yathārham upayuñjataḥ

nirbandhaḥ kṛṣṇa-sambandhe yuktaṁ vairāgyam ucyate
When one is not attached to anything but at the same time accepts
anything in relation to Kṛṣṇa, one is rightly situated above
possessiveness.
