Merianne has accumulated a variety of these skills.

Empathy Communication Self-Awareness

She has the capacity to put herself in
the shoes of others, enabling her to
have a deeper understanding of them.
Additionally, empathy helps her to see
the issue from a variety of
perspectives, making it simpler for her
to approach and manage a with active listening and is
challenging situation. The primary
responsibility of a doctor is to relieve
a patient of their heavy feelings.
Hence, it is essential for an aspiring
doctor to be able to demonstrate
compassion towards others.
Active Listening
Even before they started high
school, people often came to
Merianne to open up and express
their frustrations. This is owing to
her ability to make people feel
heard, which in turn enhances their
mood. As a doctor, it is crucial to
possess this skill since it will
encourage patients to be honest
and share more details about their
experiences, allowing the doctor to
provide better care for them.
As someone who loves being
around people and making
conversation with them, her
communication skills are the skills
that have been practiced the most.
Communication goes hand-in-hand
necessary for the parties involved to
come to an understanding. What is
important to doctors is not the ability
to speak and respond to someone,
it’s knowing how to speak and
respond to them in the most
appropriate way.
Observation
As an extraverted people-pleaser,
her keen observation is what allows
her to maintain the relationships
she’s established. When working as
a dermatologist—or any other kind
of doctor, for that matter—you really
need to have a good eye for
observation, since even the smallest
shift in a patient's health and
condition may make or break them.
Knowing oneself enables a person to be
aware of their strengths, which in turn
provides them with the opportunity to use
those strengths to their maximum
potential, as well as aware of their flaws,
which, on the other hand, provides them
with the opportunity to grow. Merianne is
a highly self-conscious person, and
because of this, she does not push
herself to achieve things that she is
aware she is not yet capable of. It is
essential for medical professionals to
possess this trait so that they can perform
their duties to the best of their abilities
and still leave room for improvement.
Persuasion
She was able to meticulously cultivate
her persuading skills as she enjoys
attaining everything she wants. Most
often, the problems that patients will
approach their dermatologists with are
due to their own habits, and being able to
persuade them to change their behaviors
is a step to improving their health.

FACTORS
Pursuing a career is a long and arduous
journey, and you will be tempted to give up
several times along the way. Therefore, it is
crucial that you have things in your chosen
career that motivate you to keep going.
Interest
Growing up, the person Merianne
looked up to the most was her
mother because she found her
really pretty. Dermatology is a
field of medicine that deals with
the health of a person’s skin, hair,
and nails—all of which are related
to the aesthetics of a person. Her
value of beauty and the pursuit of
it ensures that she will not be
burnt out when pursuing this
career.
Altruism
Working as a healthcare
professional is a very rewarding
career as you will be helping
people with their problems,
possibly changing lives.
Challenge
It is a well-known truth that
pursuing a career in medicine is
not an easy endeavor; yet, the
fact that this is not an easy
endeavor is not always a benefits, most especially from a financial
negative thing. Taking on new
challenges is an invigorating
activity that, by itself, is
sufficient to keep one motivated
for an extended period of time.
Recognition
A person who achieves success in the medical
field will not only be recognized by their family
and friends, but also by individuals who have
never met them. Being able to call oneself a
doctor carries an air of respectability that is
universally acknowledged. It takes a
considerable amount of talent, hard work, and
sacrifice to achieve this status, therefore it is
natural to have a strong desire to be
recognized for your accomplishments.
Financial Benefits
People labor for two different reasons: for their
livelihood and for their own personal
enjoyment. Those that work just for the
enjoyment of it are part of a privileged class
who do not have to worry about where their
next meal will come from. On the other hand,
the majority of people in the world are forced
to work because they have no other option.
Despite the fact that your primary objective
may have been to guarantee that you would
have enough to eat in the future, it is still
possible to find enjoyment in the work that you
do. Becoming a doctor offers a variety of
standpoint. Every job is essential, but since
physicians deal with people's lives, society
places a disproportionate amount of value on
them, and as a result, the salaries they get are
far higher than those of other professionals.

the purpose of life. The single most
effective way to extinguish motivation is
stagnation. She would never even entertain
the idea of pursuing a line of work that
would restrict her capacity for personal
development.

to the fact that everyone has people that
they consider family, and because everyone
wants to behave in a manner that would
benefit their family

It is essential to maintain a healthy work-
life balance so that a person does not get
overwhelmed by their job and lose interest
in it. Dermatologists are able to have a
healthy work-life balance since they don't
get called into urgent care as often as other
physicians do because it's less likely that
one of their patients would experience a
dramatic deterioration in their condition
and need their immediate attention.
Job Security
Finding work might be challenging, but
devoting one's life to a chosen profession is
considerably more difficult. It is nerve-
wracking to think that all of your hard work
might be undone for no justifiable reason,
which is why it is essential to find a position
that provides ongoing job security.

absolutely has to have a job in which there
is room for advancement and the
