1.Solvent – Is an adhesive material usually
used externally.

2.Teflon tape – is specifically used for

attachment threaded pipes on fittings.

3.ABS Cleaner and cement – is an

adhesive material used by plumbean when
working with ABS pipes.

4.Faucet – is a point of installation system

where flow of water or gas could be
manipulated.

5. Adaptor – is
fittings that joints two different types of
pipes together, such as ABS to cast iron or
threaded to non-threaded.

6.Nipple – is a
short length of pipe installed between
couplings and other fittings.

measuring tools. What are those? Okay (Amy will seat.)
Amy stand up, what are those?
“Thank you Amy.”
“What is measuring tools?”
Measuring tools are hand tools for
quantifying length, distance, height,
diameter and etc.
“The measuring tools are:
1.L- square – to measure a
work piece and is usually
used as a normal rule.
2.Try square – an implement used to check
and mark right angles in construction
work.

3.Pull push rule – commonly used for

measuring distance of cuts, fittings, and
other accessories. (May raised her right hand.)
“Cutting tools is a tool that will be used in
dividing the specific material.”
(May will seat.)

“Next is the cutting tools. So what is

cutting tools”
“Exactly May! Thank you take your seat.”

one piece of metal into two or more
elements.
“What are those tools? These are the
following:

1.Hacksaw – used to cut all kinds of pipes

and metals.

2.Cross-cut saw – used to cut pieces of

wood into different shapes.

3.Pipe reamer – for beveling or removing

burrs from pipe ends.

4.Pipe cutter – used to cut pipe.

5.Pipe threader – is a device used to cut

grooves or threads into the end of a metal
pipe.
(Faith raise her right hand.)
“Boring tool is a tool that will make a
hole.”
“Let’s proceed to the Boring tools.”
“What is boring tool?”
“Excellent!” Take your seat Faith.”
Boring tools is a tool used to enlarge the
hole that has already been drilled or cast.
“So this is boring tool.”
1.Electric drill – is a device used to make a
hole features an electric motor that rotates
a drill bit.

“The next one is the

Testing tools.”
“What is testing tools?”
Testing tools is used in finding out how
well the finished work.
“Under testing tools, we have the
following :
1.Spirit level – is used to set drain lines to
the correct slope.

(No one raise their hand.)

2.Plumb bob – to establish a vertical line. (Students listen carefully.)

“Next is the Driving

tools.”
“What is driving tools?”
Driving tools are hand tools used to keep
materials in place while performing work.
“What are those driving tools?”
1.Sleddge hammer – is a tool with a large,
flat, often metal head, attached to a long
handle.

2.Crowbar – used as a lever.

3.Claw hammer – it is used for pounding

nails into or extracting nails from some
other object.
