Module 1: 21st Century Education

Guide Questions for Discussion:

1. What are the implications of 21st Century education in the teaching-learning process?

- 21st century education is about giving students the skills they need to succeed in this new

world, and helping them grow the confidence to practice those skills. With so much

information readily available to them, 21st century skill focus more on making sense of that

information, sharing and using it in smart ways.

2. How will you integrate 21st Century education into the curriculum?

- School curriculum around the world are starting to adapt and change in order to meet the

needs of 21st century learners. That’s why it is important for educators to stay ahead and keep

up with the current trends in order to provide most up-to-date education for children. Through

project-based learning we can emphasize the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of the

students and also it can them more opportunities to explore more.

3. How can a teacher enhance the 21st Century skills of students in this time of pandemic?

- Over the past year, as school have closed due to covid-19 pandemic, it has become more

critical than ever for the educators to develop and improve the skills of the students. Due to

pandemic the teachers decided to integrate the home learning activity where in the learners

have to learn on their own without the help of teachers, to improve their critical thinking and

problem solving skills.
