Lesson delivery
2. Follow the instructions for Vocabulary (CD1, Track 55) in the Teacher’s book.
3. Draw attention to the Grammar Box and follow instructions for this in the Teacher’s Book. Check pupils’
understanding of this as a future form by asking plenty of questions about their plans for tomorrow/the
ACTIVITIES weekend. Follow instructions for Activity 3 in the Teacher’s Book.
4. Get pupils to draw their costume for the Independence Day parade and write 3-5 sentences to describe their
costume.
5. Ask pupils to pay attention to their handwriting in this activity. Monitor closely and work with individual
pupils who need extra support in this area.
Post-lesson
5. Ps do the activity in their workbook .

2. Ask Ps what they do on independence Day.
3. Present the new vocabulary using the flashcards.

include the vocabulary at the top of the page).
ACTIVITIES 3. Then, they work in pairs to look at and discuss the meaning of the words. Get the pupils to find the words
in the dictionary to check their answers.
4. Ask pupils to read the story again and tell their partner what they will dress up as if they go to the parade.
5. Get pupils to share with the class what they will dress up as.

8. Play the song Special Days ( SB p. 37 Class CD 1- track 53 ) and ask Ps to sing along.
9. Get Ps to ask each other questions about dates as in activity 3 on SB page 37 ( TB page 62 )
