provisions and regulations applicable in the Law
of Fisheries and the Protection of Living Aquatic
Wealth and its executive regulations and
conditions provided in the bylaw of Culture
Aquatic Organisms and Quality Control and in
accordance with the standards set out in the
Investment Guidelines for Aquaculture
Development in the Sultanate of Oman as part of
my application for license to establish an
aquaculture project in the Sultanate of Oman.

The application for provisional aquaculture
license has to be completed with an outline
proposal considering additional details to know
better the proposed project, the financial
capabilities of the investors and the technical
expertise.
Document (1): Project Description (maximum
of ten pages) Including:
Description of the selected site

● Total area for future leasing
● Main physical and biological features of the
site
● Other users located on or near the site (e.g.
fishermen community, etc.)
● Other aquaculture projects located near the
site
● Alternative choice for a second site (location)
Proposed project
● Species to be reared (local name and
scientific name)
● Description of the aquaculture system
● Short description of the process including
supply of juveniles & hatchery, and growing
phases
● Estimated total yearly production by species

area: road, housing,electrification, etc.
