Thì quá khứ hoàn thành (The past perfect tense) thường được dùng để diễn tả một hành
động hoàn thành trước một hành động khác trong quá khứ. Hành động xảy ra trước chia thì
quá khứ hoàn thành, hành động xảy ra sau chia thì hiện tại đơn.
(Tôi đã hoàn thành bài tập về nhà trước khi mẹ tôi về nhà ngày hôm qua)
