ACTIVITY SHEET

Solve for the Probability of Events to answer the following problems.

1. A card is drawn at random from a pack of 52 playing cards. What is

the probability of drawing a King or a Jack?

2. A bowl contains 2 green, 4 pink, 5 blue and 3 red stones. If a single

random marble is chosen from the box, what is the probability that it
is a red or a green stones?

Note: If Events A and B cannot occur at the same time then the probability that
either A or B occurs is the sum of their probabilities.
