Digital footprint
Thinking skills use the four concepts of production, language, representation, and audience.
Ability to create media content, or the ability to use media for self-expression and participation
in social life such as elections and online learning are further studied in the three literacies.
It is the creator’s point of view to decide on what to include in the media content, what to leave
out, and how to present what is included.
Images and captions tell a story. Whether the information is accurate or not, they are a
believable combination if not investigated properly.
o The credibility of the information that you share online depends on the image that goes
with it and how structured the word construction is.
LESSON 2
The Internet of Things (IoT) is making our lives a lot easier. Almost all appliances can now be
monitored and, in some cases, operated remotely.

Media fulfills several roles in our democratic society, including the following:
1. Channel. It provides opportunities for people to communicate, share ideas, speculate, tell stories
and give information.
2. Watchdog. It exposes corrupt practices of the government and the private sector. Creating a
space wherein governance is challenged or scrutinized by the governed. It also guarantees free and
fair elections.
4. Advocate. Through its diverse sources or formats, it bridges the gap of the digital divide.
