Demonstration Teaching

I. Objectives
A. Content Standard
 The learner demonstrates understanding of the musical characteristics of
representative music from Mindanao.
B. Performance Standard
 The learner performs music of Mindanao with appropriate expression
and style.
C. Learning Competencies
 Recognize and explain the musical characteristics uniquely expressed in
the Lumad (Subanen) music of Zamboanga after listening.
 Determine the distinct characteristics of Lumad (Subanen) music of
Zamboanga in relation to culture and geography.
 Create and perform simple melodic accompaniment applying the
elements and characteristics of music unique to Lumad's (Subanen)of
Zamboanga.
 Appraise one's performances by taking into considerations the elements
and characteristics distinct to the Music of Lumads (Subanen) in
Zamboanga.
II. Subject Matter:
a. Topic: The Folk Music of Subanen
b. References: MAPEH – 7 Music Quarter 3 Module
c. Materials: Laptop, PowerPoint , and Module

III. Methodology
A. Learning Procedure
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking the attendance
 Review of the past lesson

Activity (Motivation)
 The teacher will show a video clips and ask some questions afterwards.
Analysis
 The teacher will utilize some of the perceptions of the students using the given
questions.

Abstraction
The teacher will start his discussion using PowerPoint presentation.

Application
 The teacher will ask his students to draw one of the musical instrument of Subanen.

IV. Evaluation
 The teacher will give the learner a short quiz to assess the understanding of
the students about the topic.
