THE TUTORIAL
Tutoring program for Bedan students who are
struggling in certain class topics. It aims to serve
the Bedan community by giving them the
opportunity to engage in subjects/courses in
which they find difficult. This fosters a healthy
and conducive learning environment that will

STABILITY. This activity fosters long-term bonds between students and faculty. Tutorials
aim to foster a pervasive commitment to sharing our intellectual passions by embedding a
vigorous exchange of ideas.

CONVERSATIO. Tutorial programs encourage all members of the campus community to

step outside of their comfort zone for the sake of learning and integrity. This endeavor fosters
intellectual and personal breakthroughs, as well as habits of mind that will transform
students, faculty, and staff alike, cultivating deep learning and generosity over a lifetime.

DISCIPLINE. True learning does not occur without discipline, without the hard work of
pushing oneself beyond one's comfort zone in order to master complex practices and ideas
across a wide range of fields.

HUMILITY. This project seeks to incorporate the perspectives and expertise of a diverse
range of people into our educational mission so that each of us can discover what we are good
at and what we require the assistance of others to accomplish. All participants are liberated to
recognize and cultivate their gifts, thereby contributing to the well-being of all.

Midterm Examination Tutorial

Academic and Collaborative Activity
St. Anselm Building, San Beda University

The Finals Tutorial: Aral Pa More! held by the Bedan Scholars' Guild last February 2020 was
an initiative to provide additional academic support to the Bedan students who were
preparing for their final exams for the Academic year 2019 to 2020.

The tutorial activity was conducted in rooms 33C and 33O at San Beda University St. Anselm
Building, which provided a comfortable and conducive learning environment for the students.
The tutorial activity was held from 8 PM to 12 AM, which was a suitable time for students
who may have had other commitments during the day.

The Bedan Scholars' Guild catered to two important subjects for the tutorial activity, namely
Mathematics, and Introduction to Law. These subjects were specifically chosen as they are
known to be challenging subjects for most Legal Management students and students from the
College of Arts and Sciences. By providing a tutorial activity focused on these subjects, the
Bedan Scholars' Guild was able to assist students in improving their understanding and grasp
of these subjects, ultimately helping them to perform better on their final exams.

The tutor for the Mathematics subject, Professor Teresita Dulay, was an experienced and
knowledgeable educator in her field. The knowledge that the students gained from Professor
Dulay's tutorial helped them to develop a stronger understanding of the subject, which would
undoubtedly have been beneficial to them during the final exam week.
