IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or The teacher will ask students to recall the previous lesson about Online Readings
presenting the new lesson and give their insights on the importance of having technological awareness to
attain proficient reading.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson The teacher will present a 4 pics one word activity to which random
representatives from the class gets to click the laptop to select a letter from the
selection that contains hyperlink to find out if the letter chosen is in fact part of
the word to describe the shown 4 pics.

C. Presenting examples/ instances of Following the activity, the teacher will briefly introduce the concept of
the lesson Hyperlink. The teacher will then open an online article as an example of virtual
reading by which some texts are hyperlinked that is connected to another
relevant information for further details.

D. Discussing new concepts and ACTIVITY: Discover Me, Detective!


practicing new skills #1 Procedure:
1. The teacher will group the class into two.
2. Each group is assigned with different mystery reading activity where
they must find the missing object/ person in the narrative.
3. The students can find where did the missing subject go if they follow the
hyperlink paths assigned to them.
E. Discussing new concepts and After discovering the whereabouts of the subject, the students will be asked
practicing new skills #2 about their thoughts on clicking hyperlinks in broadening reading predicaments.

1. In the same group, the students are tasked to create a timeline of linkages
of how they find the missing object.
2. They students will be provided with red yarns and tapes to further
illustrate the linkages.

1. The teacher will task the students one by one to come in front and
perform hyperlinks using PowerPoint presentation with the teacher’s
supervision.
2. The students will be given options whether to hyperlink photos or texts
or both.
H. Making generalizations and The teacher will ask students if they understood the concept of hyperlink by
abstraction about the lesson drawing an emoji illustrating their confidence about the topic on the white board.
I. Evaluating learning The students will be asked to rate their own hyperlink works in a scale of 1-10 as
1 being the lowest and 10 as the highest.
J. Additional activities for application The teacher will give the students of a link of certain online article where they
or remediation have to follow through hyperlinks that leads to ssome fun online text activities.
