1st HOMEROOM PTA MEETING
GRADE 11 – SYNTHESIS

A. MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
There were 23 parents/guardians who attended the 1st Homeroom PTA meeting of
Grade 11 – SYNTHESIS

B. MEMBERS NOT IN ATTENDANCE

There were 27 parents/guardians who did not attend the 1st Homeroom PTA meeting
of Grade 11 – SYNTHESIS

C CALL TO ORDER
The 1st Homeroom PTA meeting of Grade 11 – SYNTHESIS for S.Y. 2022-2023 was
held on Saturday, September 9, 2022 at Grade 11 – SYNTHESIS’s classroom (Grade 7
building, 4TH floor, 1ST room). It started at exactly 9:00 in the morning.

D. AGENDA
Agenda Item #1: DO. 8. S.2015 Classroom Assessment | Grading System
Discussion: It is mentioned here that the teachers should track and measure learners’ progress
and to adjust instruction accordingly. Classroom assessment informs the learners, as well as their
parents and guardians, of their progress. Included here are the details as to how the teachers will
determine and evaluate the student’s progress.

Agenda Item #2: Non-Readers and Readers below Grade level

Discussion: There are no identified non-readers from the class and below grade level.

Agenda Item #3: Reading Intervention

Discussion: In accordance with the mandate of DepEd Rizal on reading and in
celebration of National Reading Month , every 10’ o clock in the morning children are to
read any stories whether from their modules, reading books in every classroom or grade
level reading corner. This improves the students’ reading skills.

Agenda Item #4: PTA Officers

Discussion: Election of PTA Officers among present parents/guardian

Agenda Item #5: Learner Information System Update & Basic School Records ,
Correction of Entries
Discussion: Students who are not yet in the Learner Information System shall comply to
the basic requirements needed for the correction of their entry (name ) or other basic
information of the learner.

Agenda Item #6: DepEd Order 48 s. 2022 Health & Safety Protocols In Light of COVID
19 Pandemic

Discussion: According to DO 48 facemasks are now voluntary , “Voluntary Wearing of

Facemasks in Indoor and Outdoor Spaces are now allowed except for some reasons /
factors. But it has come to a decision for the whole class to still wear facemasks all the
time for the safety of the children.

Agenda Item #7: School Calendar of Activities

Discussion: All activities for the whole school year had been mentioned specially the
nearing Christmas break and resume of the 2nd Quarter.

Agenda Item #10: Institutionalizing of Homeroom Guidance

Discussion: Homeroom guidance is not a part of their academic – grades but will show
their psycho-social progress through discipline and behavioral activities anchored with
the modules.

Agenda Item #11: Class Program

Discussion: Schedule and teachers of each subjects where mentioned.

F. OTHER MATTERS
The adviser also discussed the following important topics:
a. Grading System
- The teachers will use the grading system that was used before the pandemic
since quarterly assessment is back. Pupils had been given Periodic exam
which is part of the 20% component for the grades. They are reminded that
students in SSES shall maintain the SSC Average which should at least be 85
above in all subject and final average.
b. Proper Uniform/Attire
- Parents through the lead of the HRPTA President discussed the important
matters regarding proper uniform specially those who don’t have or who cannot
afford to buy uniform. In this regard, they are allowed to wear WHITE T-SHIRT
AND BLACK SLACKS.

G. NEXT STEPS
The parents/guardians were given chance to ask questions in our open forum. Their
queries/concerns were all addressed.

H. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at exactly 10:30 in the afternoon.
