PROCEDURES
Introductory Activity  SETTING THE MOOD:
Time Frame:5mins.  The teacher will show pictures/video clip executing the
physical fitness test.
 The teacher will ask:
o What do the pictures/video imply?
o What do you think are they performing?

Activity  DUAL ACTIVITY:


Time Frame:
15mins. o The teacher will let the learners choose a pair.
o The learners will execute the different components
of physical fitness assessments with their partners
using the guide on the learners’ material.
o While the other one is executing, the partner will
record scores, then vice-versa.

Analysis  EFFECTIVE DISCUSSION:


Time Frame:
20mins. The teacher will ask:
o How do you find the activity?
o What were being test by the different physical
fitness assessments?
The teacher will discuss and describe the different components
involved in physical fitness, such as:
 Health-related fitness:
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Muscular strength and endurance
- Flexibility
- Body composition
 Skill components:
- Agility
- Balance
- Power
- Speed
- Coordination
- Reaction time

Abstraction  REFLECTIONS:
Time Frame:
5 mins. The teacher will ask:
o How does physical fitness assessment help you
achieve a healthy body?
o What are the advantages of physical fitness
activities?

Application  GROUP ACTIVITY:


Time Frame: - The class will be divided into five groups.
10 mins. - Each group will choose a representative to
execute the different components of physical
fitness.
- While the first group performs the
components, the rest of the group will
identify what particular component of
physical fitness are they demonstrating.
- The group with the highest score will gain
the highest points.

2nd – 98 points
3rd – 95 points
4th – 93 points
5th - 90 points
