Marriage
o Marriage was divinely established at the beginning with Creation. It’s in the Bible,
Genesis 2:18, 22-24, NKJV. “And the LORD God said, ‘It is not good that man should
be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him’… Then the rib which the Lord
God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And
Adam said: ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called
Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’ Therefore a man shall leave his father and
mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
o It is the most enjoyable human relationship and the most significant event that may
happen to one’s life. It takes only two people, a man and a woman, to unite and make a
successful relationship as married couple.
o Marriage is a lifelong partnership of a man and a woman. The partners are two unique
individuals, who understand, respect, care, and love each other. It is a bond of two
people who continue to grow and develop their best qualities as a human beings.
