The minutes of the 3rd quarterly meeting of Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) held

last June 6, 2019, 2:30 in the afternoon at the Sangguniang Pambarangay Session Hall (Main), Brgy Dela
Paz, Antipolo City.

The meeting started at exactly 2:41 in the afternoon, the following were discussed.

SECTION I: UPDATES ON BCPC CASES HANDLED FROM JANUARY TO MAY 2019

Punong Barangay, John Felix N. Fernan appointed Kagawad Epifania Pido as temporary presiding
officer. The Sangguniang Barangay members who were present during the meeting approved the
appointment. Kgwd. Pido being the Chairman of Women’s and Children Protection Committee gave a 5-
minute recess in order to give way for the amendments.

Kagawad Fani Pido discussed about the BCPC cases handled for the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2019. Ms.
Rachelle Madrid reiterated the contract on diversion to minors with case must be given ample time and
budget so that the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs will be met. Kagawad Bernie Gatlabayan
also suggested that it is a must that every daycare should also have areas for recreation as well as first
aid kit. Regular lingap kabataan should be practiced every day to minimize cases of children at risk
which is seconded by Kagawad Ivy Ethel Alvaran. Close coordination with schools and regular follow
ups of child status to involve parents must be done regularly according to Kagawad Cynthia Cordova.
Provision shelter for CICL cases must be implemented as soon as possible as per Kagawad Conrado
Danseco. He also enumerated other possible way to strictly implement the plans and programs of BCPC.

And consideration there being no more business to tackle, the meeting ended at 4:04PM.
