DIKSHA stands for Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing. It is

a National Teacher Platform which is currently being used by
teachers and students across the nation to provide school education
through distance mode.
DIKSHA का मतलब ज्ञान साझा

Amidst the disruption of schooling due to COVID-19, DIKSHA makes it
possible for all states and Union Territories to enable learning and
education at home through innovative state programs. DIKSHA is
leapfrogging the use of technology for the benefit of teachers and learners
across India.

1.DIKSHA is a national platform for school education
launched on September 5th 2017
2.It is an initiative in the domain of digital learning by the
National Council for Education Research and Training
(NCERT) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development
– MHRD
3.It was developed based on the core principles of open
architecture, open access, open licensing diversity, choice
and autonomy as outlined in the Strategy and Approach
Paper for the National Teacher Platform.
4.National Teacher Platform has been branded as DIKSHA.
The motto of DIKSHA is ‘our teachers are our heroes’.
5.DIKSHA – National Teachers Platform is built to host Open
Educational Resources (OER) and tools for teachers in
schools, teacher educators in Teacher Education Institutes
(TEIs) and student teachers in TEIs.

❖ दीक्षा 5 लसतंबर 2017 को लॉन्च ककया गया स्ट्कूली लिक्षा

के ललए एक राष्ट्रीय मंच है
❖ यह राष्ट्रीय लिक्षा अनस ु ंधान और प्रलिक्षण पररषद
(एनसीईआरटी) और मानव संसाधन ववकास मंत्रालय -
एमएचआरिी द्वारा डिजिटल लिक्षण के क्षेत्र में एक पहल
है ।
❖ इसे राष्ट्रीय लिक्षक मंच के ललए रणनीतत और दृजष्ट्टकोण पत्र
में उजललखखत खल ु ी वास्ट्तक
ु ला, खल ु ी पहुंच, खलु ी लाइसेंलसंग
ववववधता, ववकलप और स्ट्वायत्तता के मल ू लसद्धांतों के
आधार पर ववकलसत ककया गया था।
❖ राष्ट्रीय लिक्षक मंच को दीक्षा नाम ददया गया है । दीक्षा का
आदित वाक्य है 'हमारे लिक्षक हमारे नायक हैं'।
❖ दीक्षा - राष्ट्रीय लिक्षक मंच स्ट्कूलों में लिक्षकों, लिक्षक लिक्षा
संस्ट्थानों (टीईआई) में लिक्षक प्रलिक्षकों और टीईआई में छात्र
लिक्षकों के ललए मक् ु त िैक्षक्षक संसाधनों (ओईआर) और
उपकरणों की मेिबानी के ललए बनाया गया है ।

1.The aim of this initiative is to help teachers and the students to
continue their studies as usual and ensure holistic learning for
both.
2.NTP is a minimal and generalised technology platform built
using Open Standards and Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
and will host Open Educational Resources (OER). It will also have
tools and interfaces for the creation and consumption of teaching
and learning content. As a shared infrastructure the platform will
avoid duplication of effort and save costs.
3.It will cater to the needs of teachers including the development of
attitude, skill and knowledge. The platform will continuously
develop and evolve in an iterative manner based on user needs
and stakeholder feedback.
4.NTP will cater to teachers from all stages of school education
including pre-primary, primary, upper primary, secondary and
senior secondary.
5.DIKSHA is available for the use of all states and UTs of India.
Currently, it supports 18+ languages and the various curriculum of
NCERT, CBSE and SCERTs across India.

और एजललकेिन प्रोग्राम इंटरफेस (एपीआई) का उपयोग करके बनाया गया है और

सीखने की सामग्री के तनमातण और उपभोग के ललए उपकरण और इंटरफेस भी
होंगे। एक साझा बतु नयादी ढांचे के रूप में मंच प्रयासों के दोहराव से बच िाएगा
और लागत बचाएगा।
❖ यह दृजष्ट्टकोण, कौिल और ज्ञान के ववकास सदहत लिक्षकों की िरूरतों को परू ा
करे गा। उपयोगकतात की ज़रूरतों और दहतधारकों की प्रततकक्रया के आधार पर
ललेटफॉमत लगातार पन ु रावत्त
ृ ीय तरीके से ववकलसत और ववकलसत होगा।

❖ NTP aims to provide Teacher training courses such as training on learning outcomes, CCE,
etc. Teaching resources such as lesson plans, concept videos, worksheets, mapped to
curriculum and Assessments for teachers, to find out their strengths and areas of
improvement.

❖ DIKSHA will serve as National Digital Infrastructure for Teachers. All
teachers across the nation will be equipped with advanced digital
technology.
❖ It is built considering the whole teacher’s life cycle – from the time
student teachers enroll in Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) to after
they retire as teachers.
❖ The DIKSH e-learning portal enables the teachers to understand their
career span. From the time they join the school to their retirement,
they can map out their career progression and can work on their
skills accordingly.
❖ It will aid teachers to learn and train themselves for which
assessment resources will be available. It will help teachers to create
training content, profile, in-class resources, assessment aids, news
and announcements and connect with the teacher community.
