After watching the video, reflect on the following:

1. What is your initial reaction upon watching the videos?
● I was so curious at first knowing that there must be a reason or a story behind the antagonist girl
named Rachel. As I am observing her actions, I notice that she’s actually manifesting some signs and
symptoms of schizophrenia, narcissistic personality disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,
Depression and Alcoholism. All those manifestations are pertaining to past events of her life
including Megan's death because she thought she really killed Megan because she had been drunk
at the time when scott told her that she did it. When Rachel remembers who really killed Megan's
character, that is the time she starts to trust her memory. She even gets free in the end and
improves herself by avoiding alcoholic drinks.

2. How do you think these videos influenced your Self-Awareness?

● This video, entitled “ A girl on the train (2016)”, shows a lot of manifestation of psychiatric
problems and it really influenced a self awareness knowing that her character (Rachel) represents a
face or a look of a person who also relates to the movie and even in the main character. The movie
has given so much self awareness as it manifests a lot of mental illness. For self awareness in
myself, at least I already have an idea of what it looks like and for me to become aware of others
with the same mental illness in the movie, then I have an idea on what to do.

3. How do you think these videos influenced your readiness as a Psychiatric Nurse?
● I cannot see myself as a Psychiatric nurse and I really don’t want to because I heard so many
dangerous situations came from my relatives who’s also a nurse now. Their story was way back
when they're in 3rd year college. But for others who want to enter this field, the video is very
beneficial and it gives a lot of ideas, Knowledge and this serves as a readiness or preparation for
them to become psychiatric nurses. IF incase I have change my mind in the future, then this movie
would be helpful. As of now, I have no dream nor plan to become a psychiatric nurse.
4. Has the article left you with any questions about Psychiatric Nursing? If No, elaborate. If yes,
elaborate further.
● No I did not have any question because overall, the movie was very magnificent. From the story
line, characters upto the setting and etc that results to have a beautiful and educational movie.
(Educational for those studying psychology or psychiatry). Additionally, the story was unique for me
because I did not watch any type of this movie before. Also, it is unpredictable most especially if
you did not know how to observe, critic and analyze every scenery situation. Another reason why I
did not have any questions after watching it is because the movie was clear and answered all my
questions in the end.
