1.0 PURPOSE

Purpose of this guideline is to identify the sequence to be followed during the execution
of the project.

2.0 SCOPE

This guideline is applicable for any excavation works for the variety project
implementation.

3.0 GUIDELINES

1. Check geotechnical report (if there any).

2. Check availability of the excavating machine or determine the type of excavation if

can use machine or manual.

3. The area plan to be excavated should be approved or surveyed by geotechnical or

surveyor (if applicable).

4. Upon excavation secure “Excavation Permit “prior to start digging (if applicable).

5. Determine the soil classification during excavation works. If loose sand and clay,
make an angle of 45° - 60° and benching to eliminate erosion.

6. Use breaking equipment (jackhammer) if hard soil.

Always checked the required sizes/dimensions based on the approved plan
