1. Warm Up

a) Get your crayons or any coloring materials.


b) Find a partner and decide who mixes A sheet and B sheet colors.
c) Mix the following colors on your sheet.
d) Discuss findings with your partner.

a) Read about Elements and Techniques used in Philippine Arts


b) Complete the table.
c) Answer the questions.
d) Present your findings in the class.

Just like any other countries with their unique sets of artworks, the Philippines also
uses a combination of elements and techniques in creating their art, particularly,
traditional artworks.

Color, line, shape and form, space, and texture are some of the elements you can find
in Philippine artworks.

Intensity – quality of brightness or purity

takes the space.
Negative space – area around the object
Empiness within or around the object

Texture

Smooth, rough, hard, soft, fluffy, bumpy


Direction: Look for any form of artwork around the campus. Determine what element of art is
present in that artwork. Use the table below.

3. Watching

a) Watch a video about Modulo art.


b) Observe how it was made.
c) Agree with the class how to create the design pattern (legend). Be artistic as
you can be.

4. Writing - Creating
