Introduction

Work immersion is a practicum were students in every strand have to observe and
gather new knowledge in their work immersion cites. Through work immersion,
students are exposed to improve their competence, students become familiar with
work-related environments related to their field of specialization.

The objective of this immersion is to give the students a opportunity to gather

experience's and generate new capabilities. This is to test and develop the
participants skills and abilities, also on how they are passionate on their works.
Implementation of this kind of practicum generates the students to be more engaged
and determinated which is very important that can be used in their future.

We were deployed in the facility of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management

Office (PDRRMO) an organization that provides importance to every emergency
cause by calamities. Here we are assigned to observe and learn what are important
things and purposes of having knowledge on providing rescues such as learning the
different proper way and stragies and familiarizing equipments in unexpected type of
events. This provides importance that can be used anytime in our daily life.

Description of activities

● On the first day May 09, 2023. I observed how to perform CPR, Bandaging,
spin board management, and rescue. It is conducted in the facility of
PDRMMO. The following participants are the staff and coworkers of the
organization. This shows the importance and value of being skilled at working
as a rescuer.

● On the second day May 10, 2023. I observed and experienced how to
rescue through a scene and simulation. It was conducted outside the facility of
PDRRMO. The following participants are the staff and workers of the
organization. This is to realize and experience the feeling of saving lives and
how important it is.

● On the third day May 11, 2023. Here the officer in rope tying illustrates to
us what the different types and purposes of tying a rope are, and as we
observe, we follow and perform it as well. The importance of this is that it can
be very useful, especially when you are rescuing someone in a pit or high
area.
 ● On the fourth day May 12, 2023. This afternoon, we observed and performed
how to properly wear a bunker suit, which is equipment used when there is an
emergency about fire, and also how to use an oxygen cylinder. It has been
illustrated by the officer in charge of this activity. The importance of a bunker
suit is to prevent any consequences and risks, especially in a bad situation.

● On the fifth day May 15, 2023. The last day of our work immersion, we have
been assigned to perform all the activities and performances we have learned
since day 1. The president of the organization was the one to observe us
while we performed. I observe in myself that I have learned a lot in this work
immersion. This shows how important all of this knowledge is; with it, you can
save a lot of people's lives.

Interpretation and Analysis

This Work immersion has made a significant contribution to students' skills and
abilities. It has also assisted them in adopting new learning strategies and
knowledge, which has had a significant impact on them. Through this immersive
experience, students gain a positive outlook on these fields and a deeper
understanding of STEM subjects.

Work immersion is extremely beneficial for students' learning and development of

new skills and abilities. These practicums provide students with valuable experience
and knowledge that can help them advance in their careers. This implies that
immersion must continue to be used for educational purposes.

Conclusion

This work Immersion has provided us with valuable knowledge and lessons, as well
as opportunities to develop new abilities and skills. Immersions can also help you
learn how to be passionate about your work and improve your skills. This practicum
will provide you with valuable experience.

Our work immersion days in Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management

(PDRRMO) on May 9-12 and May 15 provided us with valuable knowledge and
lessons on the importance of providing a rescue. This allows you to distribute goods
and assist society, particularly in emergency situations. This shows that work
immersion is very beneficial; it helps students learn and generate something new,
which is a wonderful gesture that is both important and beneficial.
 Recommendations

1.) The next Grade 12 immersion should have more time and days in their work
immersions.

2.) All student must be responsible and capable in their work immersion sites.

3.) Allow Saturday to be a work immersion day.

4.) The work for the immersion for students must be aligned to their courses.

5.) Work Immersion should continue to be utilized for educational purposes.
