1 Check for any underground utilities like sewers, water pipelines, cables.

2 Check if excavated areas need to provide with fences and barricades.

3 Depth of foundation level approve by structural Engineer (from structural

drawing) e.g 1.2m depth.

4 Excavation saves or literal support required.

5 Check excavation dimension as per drawing.

6 Are danger signs provided near the excavated site?

7 Check the final excavated depth in reference to site datum level.

8 Check that over excavated depth not back-fill without adequate

supervision & provision.

9 Use only work concrete of ratio 1:4:8 to correct over excavated depth.

10 Compact and level the bottom part of excavated materials before

concrete work.

1 Check for the minimum crossing of the hollow block to be used Eg:

2N/mm2.

2 Check for availability of all necessary materials and equipment: block

sand cement and water.

3 Check for the surface for block laying is free from dirt and anything that

can prevent proper bond.

4 Check for the mortar mix ration to the required constituent.

5 Check the surface is wet before laying the mortar.

6 Check level, alignment, spacing until the wall reach the required height.

7 Check and be sure the courses of the block are not more than four

courses at a go.

8 Check and be sure the two edges are well plum and square before

aligning the middle.

9 Check and make sure you don’t have more than 12 courses of block

before tie beam.

10 Make sure the parapet wall is not more than one meter.

11 Check the block wall is according to architectural blockwork sizes and

dimensions.

2 Check that the diameter of reinforcement to be used is of adequate

structural drawing

4 Check for lapping and anchorage length.

5 Special check for cantilever returning bar.

6 Check for primary and secondary beam connection end.

7 Check for main bar and distribution bar to be in appropriate position (B-B,

B-T)

8 Check the stirrups finish are alternate.

9 Check and inspect the reinforcement for any kind of loose and

detachment, make necessary tighten and replacement.

10 Check the reinforcement is clean of all kind of dirt, such as: oil, paint and

soapy water.

11 Check for any kind of damage of partially breaking that can occur in any

reinforcement placement

1 Check the materials to be used for plastering is free from debris, and mild.

2 Check that the surface to plaster is plum, if not take gauge.

3 Check for any portion to be patch before plastering.

4 Make rough of any smooth surface before plastering.

5 Check for maximum plastering thickness of 12mm and use chicken net

where thickness exceed 20mm to avoid cracking.

6 Check and be sure that the plaster sand is sieve before use.

7 Check and inspect the plaster, looking for any sign of sagging, bugging,

cracking and any necessary repair.

8 Check the mix ratio and adjust accordingly.

9 Determine the new mix ratio according to material available
