Yasi: In the previous lessons, we went to a grocery store and then a pharmacy.

Nikoo: You’ve learned lots of new things so far

Yasi: So let’s first start with revision!

Yasi: Answer the questions after the beep.

Nikoo: What is cough syrup?

Yasi: What is another word for trolley?

Nikoo: What is the difference between a pharmacy and a drugstore?

[Music]

Yasi: Nikoo, you’ve lost so much weight. That shirt is too big for you,now.

Nikoo: Oh really? Let me see in the mirror. Wow! It’s true! My diet has finally paid
off!

Yasi: Yeah, but the problem is none of your good clothes fit you anymore. We need
to get you some new clothes.

Nikoo: Yup. But what should I do with my old clothes? I have no space in my closet.

Yasi: You could either give them away to charity or sell them online

Nikoo: Yeah, you’re right

Yasi: Where do you wanna go shopping?

Nikoo: Well, there is this new department store down the street. And there are
some boutiques across from it as well.

Yasi: Cool, let’s go check them out.

[Music]

*Walking down the street*

Yasi: We should get you a button-down shirt first. Cause you love them and you
wear them all the time!

Nikoo: You are right! All the time! I also need a pair of pants… Oh, there is an H&M
shop here. Let’s go check it out.

Yasi: H&M is a fast fashion brand. Maybe we should check out somewhere else.

Nikoo: Why? What’s wrong with fast fashion?

Yasi: Well, they use cheep labor. I mean they don’t pay their workers enough, and
they’re not good for environment, and many other reasons.

Nikoo: Oh! Didn’t know that. Gotta read up on it.

*walking*

Yasi: How about this store? It’s a new Iranian brand.

Nikoo: Mmm. Yes! I like their designs. Oh, look at those pants! I want them!

*Walking inside and opening the door*

Clerk: May I help you?

Customer: Yes, I’m looking for a pair of trousers.

Clerk: What colour would you like?

Customer: Blue.

Clerk: And what size are you?

Customer: I’m not sure. Can you measure me?

Clerk: [measures customer] You’re a 36 inch waist. How about these?

Customer: What material are they?

Clerk: wool.

Customer: Do you have anything in cotton?

Clerk: Yes, these.

Customer: Can I try them on?

Clerk: Of course, The fitting room’s over there.

Customer: [tries trousers] They’re a little long. Do you have anything shorter?

Clerk: These are shorter.

Customer: I’ll take them.

[Music]

*walking*

Yasi: Those pants are super cute!

Nikoo: I know right? I fell in love with them. Hey look! There is a new store over
there. Those shirts look stunning! Let’s go check them out.

*walking*

Shop assistant: May I help you?

Customer: Yes, I’m looking for a white button down shirt.

Shop assistant: What size are you?

Customer: I’m a medium.

Shop assistant: Would you like a plain shirt or something else?

Customer: I’m looking for a plain white shirt.

Shop assistant: How about this one?

Customer: Yes, that’s nice. Could I try it on?

Shop assistant: Certainly, the changing rooms are over there.

Customer: Thank you.

Shop assistant: How does it fit?

Customer: It’s too large. Do you have a small?

Shop assistant: Yes, here you are. Would you like to try it on to see if it fits?

Customer: No that’s Okay. Thank you. I’ll take it. And I want to take a look at your
summer collection.

Shop assistant: Certainly, our summer collection racks are over here.

Customer: I like those sandals. Do you have them in grey as well?

Shop assistant: Yes, here’s a pair.

Customer: Do you have them in size 38?

Shop assistant: Yeah, these are in size 38. Try them on and go for a walk around the
store.

Customer: They feel great. I’ll just do another lap of the store.

Walking*

Customer: I love them. I’ll take them.

Shop assistant: OK, how would you like to pay?

Customer: Do you take credit cards?

Shop assistant: Yes, we do. Visa and Master Card.

Customer: OK, here’s my Visa.

Shop assistant: Thank you. Here’s your receipt. Have a nice day!

Customer: Thank you, goodbye.

*walking*

[Music]

Yasi: Man you look all happy and smiley!

Nikoo: I AM happy because I’m a shopaholic!

Yasi: I know you love shopping!

Nikoo: But that’s not the only reason I feel cheerful today, you know that I’ve lost
weight,too.

Yasi: Good for you! Let’s celebrate with some ice cream! What do you say?

Nikoo: Why not.

Yasi: Let me carry one of the bags for you.

Nikoo: OK, thanks.

Yasi: What’s that on this shirt? Look there is a stain on it and there is a problem with
the stitching here!

Nikoo: Oh shoot! Didn’t notice it!

Yasi: You gotta go return it right away. We’ll buy another shirt from another store.

[Music]

*walking and opening a door*

Store Clerk: Hi. How can I help you?

Customer: I’d like to return this shirt for a refund. I bought it just a few hours ago.

Store Clerk: Well, first of all, what seems to be the problem?

Customer: Well, take a look. The color has faded here, there is a stain there and the
stitching is coming undone.

Store clerk: Oh, I see what you mean. Do you have the receipt?

Customer: Yes. Here it is.

Store clerk: Would you like to choose something else?

Customer: No, can I have a refund please?

Store clerk: Please put your card in.it might take up to 5 business days to get your
refund.

Customer: ok, thank you
