CONCEPT NOTES:

Some Ways to Resolve Problems

1. Talk directly
Direct conversation is much more effective than sending a letter, banging on the
wall, throwing a rock, or complaining for everyone else.
2. Choose a Good Time
Plan ahead and allow yourselves enough time for a thorough discussion.
3. Don’t blame or Name – Call
Don’t blame the other person for everything or begin the conversation with your
opinion of what should be done.
4. Give Information
Do not interpret other person’s behavior.
5. Listen
Give the other person a chance to tell his/her side of the conflicts completely.
6. Work on a solution
When you reached this point in the discussion start working on a solution. Be
specific on the solutions.
7. Follow through
Agree to check with each other at specific times to make sure that the
agreement is still working, then really do it.

COMMON GROUND
by: KODALINE

It’s easy to win,

It’s harder to loose, And all will be forgotten,
To admit that you’re wrong And we all fall apart,
When you’ve got something to prove. Yeah all will be forgotten,
But the common ground,
You said it was easy, It’s a good place to start,
I tell you they are wrong, Sure all will be forgotten,
So get busy learning, Yeah we will all be forgotten, fall apart.
Are you already gone?
We will all be forgotten,
People will tell you, But common ground is a good place to start.
What you want to hear, Common ground is a good place to start.
But the people who know you well,
Can make it all clear.
Life isn’t easy,
You got to be strong,
So get busy learning,
Are you already gone?
