Physical Properties are characteristics of matter that can be observed or measured without changing its composition.

1. Hardness is the ability of a material to be strong and rigid. It can resist pressure that causes change in shape. Hard materials like
metal and wood are used in scaffolding.
2. Brittleness is the ability of a material to break easily. Glasses and porcelains are brittle, when broken can cause injury to us.
3. Flexibility is the ability of a material to be bent without breaking. Flexible objects like thin metal wires and plastic strings can be used
to tie things around.
4. Elasticity is the ability of a material to be stretched and can return to its original shape after. A rubber band is an example of an
elastic material and is used to bind objects together.
5. Electrical Conductivity is the ability of a material to allow electricity to pass through them. Electrical wires are good conductors and
are widely used nowadays.
6. Thermal Conductivity is the ability of material to allow heat to pass through them. Metal conductors like metallic cooking pots
possess this property.
7. Malleability is the ability of a material to be hammered into desired shapes without breaking. Silver and gold are examples of
malleable materials that are made into jewelleries and other accessories.
8. Ductility is the ability of a material to be drawn into thin wires. Metals that are made into electrical wiring and barb wires exhibit this
property.
9. Magnetic Property is the ability of materials like a magnet that attracts metal towards itself.
10.Luster is a property of a material that describes how light is reflected on its surface. Mirrors and other well-polished materials have
this ability.
