1 The road was found damaged at some
portion at Shagai minor RD: 4000 to tail.
It shows poor execution by the Irrigation
Division Swabi.

The scheme has been completed on
31.05.2016. A small patch /
damaged portion as mentioned by
M&E office resulted in previous
heavy flood in Shagai Nullah. The
department taken hands its
restoration / rectification by
Contractor shortly. The same can
be verified by M&E in its follow-up
visits please. Pictures are attached
for ready reference.

among houses that could cause dust a
spared infection in dry season
3 De-siltation of Nawa killi Minor,
Shagai Minor and Sarbandi Minor were
carried out manually and was dumped
along the banks of Minor which may
slide again to the canal minors
4 The Irrigation did not share the MB
book with the M&E team to quantify
the work carried out at site absence of
MB makes the execution of work
questionable regarding quantum of silt
removed from the minors

Progress achieved and work
completed at site
On own request of land owner the
silt has been dumped in nearly by
open plot / land. Silty soil is
usually more fertile than other
type of soils, meaning it is good
for growing crops. The same has
been allowed for leveling and
filling of low-lying areas to avoid
standing of rain water.
True up to the extent that the
activity was carried out manually
but the same has been removed
from canal side banks and
dispose off.
The quantity of work has been
assured by the field formation of
Irrigation staff regular visited by
Superintending Engineer Swabi
circle also by the silt monitoring
team. MBs, Estimates and
Agreements are ready for
submission to M&E team for
compliance please.
