1. Outline the communication strategy used by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe in


its effort to persuade the people of Zimbabwe to accept the introduction of bond
notes. [25]

2. With reference to two companies you are familiar with, choose one which is
product oriented and the other which is marketing oriented. In view of the two
different business approaches, explain the culture or business practices
associated with each. [25]

3. Despite the growth of marketing as fully fledged discipline, its contributions in a


university is not yet well embraced. What is your opinion to this debate? [25]

4. Your organisation is considering to expand and go to one of the countries in


Southern Africa. Give a detailed account of the difficulties you may face in
carrying out research before your firm enters that foreign market. [25]

5. Marketing is a social and managerial process of identifying, anticipating and


delivering the desired satisfaction more efficiently and effectively than
competitors at a profit. Identify the key words in the given definition and
sufficiently relate the relevance of each word to the marketer. [25]
