CLEAN AND GREEN BARANGGAY

RATIONALE

The barangay is facing an increasing problem of waste management. Due to the

lack of proper disposal facilities and poor waste segregation, garbage continues to pile
up in the community, which poses health hazards and environmental degradation.

OBJECTIVES

The project aims to achieve the following:

1. Improve the waste management system in the barangay through proper waste
segregation, collection, and disposal.

2. Promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in

maintaining a clean and green barangay.

3. Reduce the amount of waste generated in the barangay through composting and
recycling.

BENEFITS

The project beneficiaries are the residents of barangay langgam, particularly those
who are directly affected by the poor waste management system. By having a clean and
green barangay, the community can enjoy a healthier and safer environment. It can also
attract potential investors and tourists, which can boost the local economy.

II. PROJECT DISCRIPTION

METHODOLOGY

A committee made up of volunteers from the barangay will be formed to carry out this
project. The committee will be in charge of planning the clean-up effort and coordinating
with the barangay leaders and locals.

The committee’s obligations will comprise:

1. Organizing and planning the clean-up effort entails determining the locations that
require cleaning, creating a timeline, and working with the barangay officials to arrange
for logistical help.

2. Organizing volunteers, such as students, locals, and other community organizations,

to take part in the clean-up effort.
3. Launching a campaign to spread the word about the value of good waste
management and disposal, this will include social media posts, pamphlets, and posters.

SCHEDULE

The clean-up drive will be held on January 10, 2024 – December 10, 2024. Every month
to maintain the cleanliness
