3.2 Test Specimen

Test specimens shall be mass-produced parts or completed parts that manufactured by
the same processes and conditions for the mass-produced parts.
Test specimen shall be conditioned at the standard atmosphere specified in paragraph 3.1
for 24hrs. or more prior to test, and then assembled on a support in the manner equivalent
to it's actual use.
G In case of painted parts, one paint color may be selected as a representative for
testing and selected color shall be reported .

B 3.3 Heat Cycle Resistance−Method A

E This method shall be applied mainly to the general molded parts.

This method shall be applied mainly to molded parts which are mounted near the engine
E compartment and will reach a relatively higher temperature by the heat streams from
the engine compartment.

3.5.1 High Temperature Test

The test specimen shall be placed in the atmosphere temperature of 23±2℃ and
the surface which is near the heat surface in the actual use shall be heated by hot air,
and so on, and kept at 90±2℃.
3.5.2 Conditions
C Test specimen shall be exposed to 3 cycles of the conditions specified in Fig. 4.
D In case the specimen is made of a material such as polypropylene of which the water
absorption after immersion for 24hrs. according to the method A of ISO 62 is less than
0.5%, the humidity period in Fig. 4 may be omitted.
