Narrative Report on Capacity Building: Implementation of National Learning


Camp and EOSY Break Activities
Date: November 15-17, 2023

The three-day capacity-building event centered on the implementation of the


National Learning Camp (NLC) and End-of-School-Year (EOSY) Break activities,
combining vital insights and hands-on sessions for educational leaders. Attended by
Primary and Secondary School Heads, Education Program Supervisors, and Public
School District Supervisors (PSDS), the event aimed to enhance their capabilities in
orchestrating successful NLC and EOSY programs.

The plenary session, Session 1, provided crucial information on the conduct of


NLC and other EOSY Break activities, laying the foundation for the subsequent
sessions. Session 2 delved into the salient features of the NLC and EOSY reading
programs, offering a comprehensive understanding for effective implementation.

Jet Lee C. Ocampo led Session 3, conducting a walkthrough on the NLC


learning resources and initiating Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) on Day 1. Session
4 focused on post-evaluation and program review, allowing participants to reflect on
the NLC and EOSY Break activities. Jet Lee C. Ocampo continued to guide the
program evaluation on Day 2.
The concluding day addressed the management of learning by CD3 and CD4,
tackled challenges by the Technical Working Group, and conducted a post-test to
assess participants' understanding. The capacity-building event successfully equipped
education leaders with the knowledge and skills essential for orchestrating effective
National Learning Camps and End-of-School-Year Break activities.

In response to the ever-evolving educational landscape marked by volatility,
uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity, and disruptive forces (VUCAD), a pivotal gathering
unfolded from June 30 to July 4, 2023, at the CID Conference Hall, SDO, Nueva Ecija,
Santa Rosa. Focused on Instructional Leadership, this transformative event aimed to
empower and inspire school heads in navigating the challenges presented by the
VUCAD environment. Against the backdrop of an educational system undergoing
constant transformation, the program sought to equip leaders with the skills and
insights necessary for effective leadership. This narrative report captures the essence
of the event, highlighting key sessions, discussions, and outcomes as educators
gathered to explore strategies that inspire, motivate, and lead in the midst of
uncertainty. The setting in Nueva Ecija provided an apt backdrop for the exchange of
ideas and the cultivation of a community of leaders prepared to navigate and excel in
the dynamic landscape of contemporary education.
From June 30 to July 4, 2023, the CID Conference Hall at SDO, Nueva Ecija,
Santa Rosa, hosted a transformative event on Instructional Leadership in Volatile,

with the knowledge and skills essential for fostering a curriculum that is adaptive to
the evolving needs of education.

The day commenced with an insightful opening address, setting the tone for a
day filled with enriching discussions. Distinguished speakers delved into various
aspects of curriculum development, emphasizing responsiveness to the dynamic
