Self-Reflection
1. I am the article writer of the group. During the project, my role was to gather information
about the local food of The Reunion Island. I did so through WhatsApp and Zoom calls. We
also had to write reports on the amazing experience. We also learnt about their famous
dishes and ingredients used in them.
2. I really enjoyed working on the video shoot where we had prepared a set up including the
various dishes of The Reunion. It was a nice experience working together and shooting the
skit with the help of our teachers. While writing the report, I developed my vocabulary and
ways to express my thoughts through written articles.
3. Gathering the information and writing the skit was a smooth ride. We easily communicated
with our partner school through the various mediums and gathered the information.
However, I would have enjoyed answering their questions more and having more video
conferences to discuss face to face.
4. We learnt through our conversation that the cuisine of The Reunion has a large influence of
South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine. We also learnt that there isn’t much difference amongst
the local dishes of the Northern and Southern coastline.
