A pavement engineer is a professional responsible for designing, analyzing,
constructing, and maintaining various types of pavements, including roads,
highways, airports, parking lots, and other transportation infrastructure. Their

• Design and Analysis: Developing pavement designs that consider factors such as
traffic volume, soil conditions, climate, materials, and expected lifespan. Using
engineering software and principles to analyze pavement structures for strength,
stability, and performance.

• Material Selection: Selecting appropriate materials for pavement construction or
rehabilitation, including asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and other additives.
Evaluating material properties and their suitability for specific projects.

• Maintenance and Rehabilitation: Developing maintenance plans and strategies to
prolong the lifespan of pavements. Assessing existing pavements for repairs,
rehabilitation, or reconstruction. Recommending and implementing appropriate
maintenance techniques.

• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing technical reports, project

• operating of Pavement NDT equipment like HWD, GPR, CFME, LCMS and
RSP
• PCN/ACN analysis using ELMOD 6
• software analysis for NDT equipment mentioned above
• PCI surveys and analysis
Core Requirements: • experience in pavement evaluation for both roads and airfields
• experience in writing maintenance and rehabilitation plans including design
• experience in writing technical proposals and method statements.
• Experience in handling pavement evaluation projects at sites.

• Civil Engineer Degree


• Strong background in Civil engineer, with focus in Geotechnical
• Excellent analytical skills
Qualifications and Skills: • Attention to details
• Ability to work within a team is crucial for this role
• A Min 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in using engineering tools for pavement designs and
analysis

Languages • English: Read, Spoke and written is a must


• Arabic: Read, Spoke and Written is a must
