ENHANCING THE SKILLS OF THE YOUTH IN ST. VINCENT COLLEGE OF


CABUYAO FOR A BETTER FUTURE IN TABLE TENNIS

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

1. To provide fun, safe and structured play experiences that promotes


healthy lifestyle by doing table tennis.

2. To provide opportunities for every individual, regardless of ability, to


participate in a table tennis activity that will develop skill and interest in a
friendly, recreation-centered environment.

3. To display and have exposure to their skills in table tennis.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

It is a great way to increase student engagement by providing students with


opportunities to interact socially with their peers, which fosters a sense of belonging,
positive mental health, and greater engagement in both academic and non-
academic activities. Participation in this kind of events helps students further
develop their social skills, co-operation, teamwork, physical literacy, and overall
health. Also, by this kind of activity it can enhances the skill and reflexes of
participants as well as they are able to know on how to execute and understand the
fundamentals of table tennis. Most importantly, it provides much-needed
opportunities for students who do not have the opportunity to participate in
organized sport or physical activities within the school or community.

INTRODUCTION

As we take impart the Philippine basic education is not only focusing the academic
aspect inside the four corners of the classroom. It also give’s priority to sports in all
aspects of education as included in the curriculum. As a proof there are some
Filipinos who qualified for the Olympics Tournament and went back to our country
bringing the victory. They are one of the inspirations of our students who want to
engage themselves in sports. This is also a good example of sportsmanship and
develop a good camaraderie between students and the school. Also, taking this
opportunity to help the students to show their potentials.

Sports as included in the curriculum is a necessary guide to develop student’s


talents and abilities to mingle with others. Saint Vincent College of Cabuyao or
SVCC prioritize the best decisions and events that can impart to the all capabilities
and goodness of its students. The students of Saint Vincent College of Cabuyao
have a potential in sports and very much willing to participate different event. That is
why we are holding this kind of activities in preparation for a higher meet and
improving the different skills of the students. The perseverance and determination of
the school to conduct more activities with the willingness to served, give inspiration
and help all the students to make work for their full potentials.
