RATIONALE Athletes can vary widely from individual to individual, and it may include a
combination of physical health, personal growth, social connections, and
potential opportunities in education or career. Participation in sports can
provide a wide array of benefits that extend beyond the playing field.

Regular athletic training and competition promote physical well-being.

Athletes tend to have better cardiovascular health, lower body fat
percentages, and increased muscular strength and endurance.
