B. Profile of the Program or Course

Rationale

Health is crucial for the over-all well-being of every person affecting the physical,
mental, and social aspects of life. It enables individuals to pursue goals, enjoy daily
activities, and contributes to a fulfilling life. Further, health also plays a pivotal role in
education by influencing cognitive function, concentration, and academic performance
contributing to the student’s ability to learn, retain information, and excel in their studies.
Good health supports emotional well-being, creating a conducive environment for
effective learning and personal development.

Acknowledging the importance of health in learners and school personnel, Patin-


ay National High School crafted the Project HIMSOG, aiming to promote and safeguard
the health of learners and school personnel.

Through the school clinic, the project aims to provide timely medical assistance for
minor illnesses, cascade DOH and Deped programs on health, conduct health
screenings, and ensure the overall well-being of students and school personnel during
school hours. Project HIMSOG also aims to promote health education within the school
community towards a healthier and more conducive learning environment.

C. Program or Course Design

General Objectives:
To ensure the well being of learners and personnel of Patin-ay National High
School.

Specific Objectives:
To capacitate the school clinic through the procurement of medicines, wound
care supplies and basic equipment/devices.
