GC REVIEW COMMENTS
Contract “Design and Construction of Viaduct in Reach – 3 between Jhansi Rani Square and
Lokmanya Nagar station from Ch 7825m to Ch 18212m on the East-West Corridor of
Nagpur Metro Rail Project”

SUBJECT Regarding Submission of Method Statement for Erection of spans by fixing Ground
Support Staging (Rev.1)
GC Comment During the operation ensure that the maximum safety vigilance is applied, and ensure
the following.

 Valid Third party Certificate for Cranes approved agency by GC (Specific

location /contract Package /Company) as per Indian legal requirement and NMRCL
Condition of contract to be submitted to GC with RFI 24 Hours before lifting
activity at site
 Soil Compaction test report, MTC for Accessories equipment’s likes HT Nut/Bolts,
Lifting Bar, Lifting Pin etc. shall be submitted to the GC with RFI 24hours before
erection activity at site.
 RCC Footing are being placed without any grouting to avoid avoids and Cement
bunds not constructed to avoid water penetration below the footing.
 During lifting activity Plant Manager, Construction Manager, Chief/senior Manager
OHS&E Manager, First Aider shall be available at activity location
 Tool box/Task briefing shall be conducted before lifting activity
 During Lifting activity on road there should not be any hindrance to free flow of
traffic, prior permission from local / traffic police need to be obtained, instruction of
local / traffic police should be followed strictly, reflectors should be erected,
cautioning sign-boards and barricade with portable yellow flickering light have to be
installed in front of the point where the work is commenced, safety cones should
place on 50 meter before the lifting point, the entire area should be barricaded.
 During lifting activity shall be permitted with Stable Ground Condition
/Compaction and illumination shall be ensured before start of lifting activity &
Lifting operation Shall not permitted during Rain
 Internal Training - Lifting Plan For specific location shall be conducted for the all
staff and all workers involved in the lifting operation and evidence of training
conducted shall be available at site for GC verification
 Every lifting operation Pre Lift check & each Lift plan check list shall be available
at site
