DIS Campus Journalists Shine at Cabarroguis District Press Conference 2023

Cabarroguis, May 25, 2023 - The talented campus journalists from DIS (Debate and Intensive Speaking)
School proved their mettle as they participated in the highly anticipated Cabarroguis District Press
Conference 2023. The event, which took place from March 23rd to 25th at Cabarroguis Central School-
Integrated SpEd Center (CCS-ISC), showcased the exceptional skills of the DIS campus journalists.

The DIS Campus Journalists displayed their prowess in various categories and garnered awards for their
outstanding performances. The following students emerged as winners in their respective fields:

Dwitht Duluahan - 5th place, Sports Writing Secondary English (Qualifier for Division School Press
Conference 2023)

Stelace Gotana - 8th place, Science Feature Writing Secondary Filipino

Aizen Tinawe - 10th place, Copy Editing & Headline Writing Secondary Filipino

Red Skylar Lupoog - 10th place, Editorial Writing Elementary English

Under the guidance and mentorship of their dedicated coaches, Nemfa G. Tumacder (Secondary Coach)
and Marissa N. Rios (Elementary Coach), the DIS Campus Journalists showcased their exceptional talent
and honed their writing skills during the three-day competition.

The Journalympics, as the contest is aptly called, provided more than just a platform for fierce
competition. It served as an invaluable opportunity for DIS Campus Journalists to enhance their writing
skills and delve deeper into the realm of journalism. The event allowed them to explore their creativity,
develop their critical thinking abilities, and gain practical experience in journalistic writing.
