II. Session Details
Lesson Title: “Describing Motion”
Session Objectives: At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
1. Explain the importance of motion.
2. Show compassion performing tasks assigned to the group.
3. Identify the effect of speed and velocity in your health condition.
Key Concepts:  In physics, motion is a change in the position of an object over time.
It is the action or process of moving or of changing place or position,
or a movement.
 Motion is described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity,
acceleration, time and speed.

III. Facilitation Strategies

Components Duration Activities and Procedures
Activity 2. Arrange Me!
I. Arrange the jumbled words inside the parenthesis to complete the
idea.

1. SPEED
It is the _____ (rcaals) quantity that signifies the _____ (dumgainte)
of the _____ (ater) of change of an object’s motion.

Introduction and 2. VELOCITY

DAILY LESSON LOG

Speed is our second dash point for the skill-related components of

physical fitness. Speed is the rate at which something moves. Speed
relates to power, as you have already learnt, and relates to the force and
the mass of the object the force has acted upon.

Health Education 20 mins Speed relates to movement efficiency and performance because there are
many sport s in which the speed at which someone is moving is
advantageous. This includes all racing sports, such as: sprinting,
swimming, triathlons, marathons and much more. For these sports the
faster the athlete can move, the better they will perform. In relation to
efficiency, high speed will frequently require high energy consumption
and result in fatigue. Furthermore, if an athlete has higher speed, it does
not mean they have a higher speed without fatigue. marathon runners,
often don’t have the best speeds when it is tested, but can maintain higher
speeds for longer periods of time when compared to sprinters.

1. Cite 5 sports that need your speed?

2. What happen to your heart rate and pulse after doing some
sports?
3. How does speed affect your health condition?

Materials: A4 bond paper, writing tools, coloring materials.

Journal Writing 15 mins  Draw a situation in an A4 bond paper that you are using
Speed and Velocity in your daily life routine.
