Store adequate supply of ready-to-eat food, clean water, and clothing.
Prepare flashlights, batteries, candles and kerosene lamps.
Have a first-aid kit with enough medical supplies.
Check and clean your community drainage systems to prevent flood.

When a typhoon comes, it is essential that you stay calm and you must know what to do.
If no advice to evacuate was announced, then better stay indoors. Postpone any travel.

for us to feel secure and safe.
After A Typhoon
When typhoon is over, there are still things that we should do.
Monitor and update yourself with the progress of the typhoon through radio, television or the internet or
whichever is available.
Watch out for live wires or any electrical outlet that may be submerged in water. Have a knowledgeable
person to inspect electrical connections before using electrical appliances.
Repair all damages in the house. Clean your house and surroundings well. If your house was one of the
heavily damaged. Make sure that you listen to the advice of the authorities regarding its safety and
stability. If they are uncertain of your house’s condition, do not return to your houses. Be safe in
inspecting your house and avoid scattered debris.
Boil water before drinking to avoid water-borne diseases from contaminated water.
Wear protective gears such as boots. Water-borne diseases such as Leptospirosis do not only spread out
during typhoon but also after the typhoon.
Clean up and dispose things that may be breeding places. Do not let water accumulate in tires, cans, or
pots to avoid creating a favourable condition for mosquito breeding.
